Implicit opinion obviously put forth

[edit]

I came to this page after reading a few journal articles about recent modifications to predictive policing algorithms (particularly the addition of a number of fairness criteria). None of the research I read elicited an opinion, positive or negative, on the algorithms.

Reading this wikipedia article, however, evokes a very negative view of PredPol as well as predictive policing in general, which I think the subject matter itself does not invite, without additional subjective information from external sources. The additional information in the later paragraphs of this page seem to be cherrypicked opinion research from over the last four years—nothing remotely resembling a representative picture of PredPol, the information this page should offer. This article feels like an argument against predictive policing, presented as an article about a single company.

The implicit discussion on the fairness of predictive policing does not belong on this page. Jaraim1 (talk) 19:34, 27 November 2022 (UTC)[reply]
