Miss Kay Redirects here
[edit]If you search Miss Kay it redirects to the page Duck Dynasty. I think it should redirect to this page, however I am unsure how to do that. Could someone change this?
Lovecherry (talk) 06:29, 24 January 2014 (UTC)
Done... found out when when you do a search and it redirects you to a page.. at the top of the page it says redirected from.. like when I searched miss Kay and got the duck dynasty page at the top it said redirected from miss Kay.. I just clicked on miss Kay and edited the page replacing duck dynasty with Kay Robertson... — Preceding unsigned comment added by Nickmxp (talk • contribs) 12:17, 24 January 2014 (UTC)

Kay's birthday
[edit]The dates for when Phil and Kay met and married are wrong. According to public records on Ancestry.com (membership required), Kay was born December 21, 1947 and her 1st son, Alan, was born January 5, 1965. With all the references to Phil and Kay meeting when she was 14 and marrying when she was 16 would mean they met probably in 1962 and married in 1964. The 1966 marriage date that is stated, it's inconsistent with her age and the birth of her oldest son. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 174.26.42.210 (talk) 14:10, 11 January 2014 (UTC)
I agree it was stated in Phil's book that Kay was fourteen when her father died and according to Louisiana death records he died in may of 1962 ... — Preceding unsigned comment added by Nickmxp (talk • contribs) 17:51, 11 January 2014 (UTC)
I also found an article in parade magazine with an interview of miss Kay stating her age at 65... and a tweet from her daughter in law posted Dec 21st 2013 with a picture of Si and his wife at her 65th birthday party...and they of course celebrated their 49th anniversary last year... all of which is consistent with her being born in 1947 and married in 1964... but is an article listing her current age good enough as a source for her birthday?
You are correct, she in 2013 she celebrated her 48th anniversary, and since she has been with Phil since she was 16, it makes her around 64. I will try to change this. ----Lovecherry (talk) 07:12, 15 January 2014 (UTC)
If I'm not mistaken her current age is 66 years old... here is the interview with parade from last year stating her age as 65... http://www.parade.com/231229/erinhill/
And here is an article from people magazine stating they celebrated their 49th anniversary last year... http://www.people.com/people/mobile/article/0,,20758824,00.html
And if you look in the middle of this article you will see a tweet dated December 21st 2012 from Jessica Robertson featuring a picture of si and his wife Christine at miss Kay's 65th birthday party.. which would mean she turned 66 on December 21 2013.. which means she was born on December 21 1947.. http://tv.yahoo.com/news/duck-dynasty--couples--how-they-met-234103918.html Nickmxp (talk) 12:06, 15 January 2014 (UTC)
also this class year book site has a 1963 yearbook with a picture of miss kay listed in the sophmore section... if she was born in 1950 she would've been a thirteen year old sophmore.. http://www.classmates.com/yearbooks/North-Caddo-High-School/14789?page=0 Nickmxp (talk) 01:44, 21 January 2014 (UTC)
Here's a huff post article that says miss Kay was voted class beauty in her sophomore year in 1963.. http://m.huffpost.com/us/entry/4618222 .. I think it's safe to say the current birth date and marriage dates are incorrect... — Preceding unsigned comment added by Nickmxp (talk • contribs) 12:27, 24 January 2014 (UTC)
You may be correct, however in the Duck Dynasty epiode Til Duck do us part, Miss Kay celebrates her 48th anniversary with Phil. However I do not know when it was filmed, but am guessing late 2012 or early-mid 2013. By the way, you can sign your posts using four ~. Lovecherry (talk) 01:34, 26 January 2014 (UTC)
There are also alot of sources that say it was their 49th... I swear I've never seen so much conflicting information on a topic! lol.. do you remember if the actual number was mentioned on the show? Nickmxp (talk) 16:14, 28 January 2014 (UTC)
I think so…but if it was their 48th we still don't know when it was filmed. Lovecherry (talk) 19:39, 10 March 2014 (UTC)
Library bibliography records for her cookbook (Miss Kay's Duck Commander Kitchen) give her birth year as 1946. Just search any library catalog and you will see it. tannerbc11 (talk) 03:30, 24 August 2014 (UTC)
