Thanks for catching my sloppy use of the verb 'raft'. I am leaving alone for now your edit giving co-credit to Clover and Jotter for being first through the canyon because that question was in my mind as I was writing the entry. The sources I was working from give Clover the first and mention Jotter as an 'also'. I couldn't determine if this was because Clover was actually on the first boat through, and thus entitled to a technical precedence, or because it was her expedition, or for some other reason. Do you have any sources or evidence that would speak to this point? If there is no clear evidence, I am not sure that Clover's precedence should be removed, given that Wikipedia usually goes by what the sources say; a co-credit to Jotter, though it might seem fairer, might be construed as OR.Alafarge (talk) 02:16, 5 February 2015 (UTC)[reply]
