Forbidden City was one of the Art and architecture good articles, but it has been removed from the list. There are suggestions below for improving the article to meet the good article criteria. Coordinates incorrect

9999 Rooms

To my knowledge, this factoid is a myth (although the actual number of rooms in the complex seems to vary based on criteria and so on.) However, it is cited in the article's introduction, but a later segment in >Structure states that this is a myth! So the article contradicts itself. A 2007 GA that seems worse for the wear. It has various uncited claims, a general overabundance of images that creates sandwiching issues across much of the article. The history section is written in a summary style when it really doesn't have to be - it has plenty of room to grow. And some of the sourcing is to things such as travel guides or fun facts lists.
