Hanna is a town in east-central Alberta, Canada.

The town's main sources of revenue are agriculture, oil production, tourism, coal mining and retirement. It is the centre of a large trading area called Short Grass County and is the home of approximately 200 businesses. The mayor of the town is currently Pat Burns.
Hanna, as small and unassuming as it is, has produced Shirley McClellan, Deputy Premier and Minister of Finance, Marjorie Willison, author and radio personality, a Rhodes Scholar, an engineer who worked on both the Avro Arrow and for NASA, a rock band (Nickelback), and an assortment of hockey players including one Hall of Famer, Lanny McDonald.
