Myrtle Beach Direct Air is a charter airline based in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, USA. It operates domestic charter services.[1] Its main base is Myrtle Beach International Airport. Beginning December 2007, the airline will open a focus city at St. Petersburg-Clearwater International Airport.

History

On November 14, 2006 the airline announced services from Myrtle Beach to Newark, Pittsburgh and Niagara Falls. Services began on March 7, 2007. It is owned by Myrtle Beach Direct Air and Tours.

Between March 7 and May 14, 2007, flights were operated as public charters by Sky King, Inc. of Sacramento, California. As of May 14, 2007, Myrtle Beach Direct Air ended its relationship with Sky King. Thereafter, the flights on Myrtle Beach Direct Air are being operated by Xtra Airways of Elko, Nevada.

Destinations

Myrtle Beach Direct Air operates non-stop flight schedules five days a week between its northern US gateway cities and Myrtle Beach. Beginning December 19, 2007, the airline will open a focus city at St. Petersburg-Clearwater International Airport.
