Trophies
Will this game eventually have Trophies for the PS3? 212.64.10.241 (talk) 14:13, 26 July 2008 (UTC)
World Record
Chike has since retaken his record over Johnson, as can be seen here on the scorehero.com leaderboards on Chike's username "iamchris4life":
http://www.scorehero.com/rankings.php?group=4&game=6&diff=4&song=2520&page=1
Considering that others have beaten Johnson (who, if I'm not mistaken, is on the same leaderboards under the name "PhenomMan"), but no one is close to reaching the record that Chike recently re-set (and has a video and about 400 witnesses via ustream.com), should it be written in that he actually does still have the record, only with a higher score then is in Guiness?--Rohrk21 (talk) 00:24, 4 June 2008 (UTC)
As I understand it, Johnson still had the official Guiness record (which I believe requires an official witness to verify the score). So ScoreHero wouldn't be the official word on who holds the Guiness world record. However, there was a post today on Kotaku indicating the Chike had an official video of his retaking of the record. Master Track?
In the opening paragraph it mentions that most songs are "master tracks" but it doesn't explain what a master track is. So....what is it?--KyPaintBawler (talk) 21:43, 11 May 2008 (UTC)
- a Master Track is the actual recording of the song, rather than a cover version. Onesecondglance (talk) 13:21, 22 July 2008 (UTC)

Wii DLC delay (NOT A FORUM POST!)
Wii DLC has been delayed from the release date in the article of Q1 2008. Are other regions (North America) delayed also? This is not a forum comment, I've had a previous similar comment deleted wrongly. frogTape: Covered in flies for your enjoyment (talk) 21:32, 1 April 2008 (UTC)
- Please post references then we can mention this in the article where appropriate. Gary King (talk) 21:44, 1 April 2008 (UTC)
- WHAT?!? What is that supposed to mean. That is what's screwed up about wikipedia and yet I'm still drawn to the site. I don't have any text or pics, but It's June 4 and I still can't download any tracks for my Wii. But I guess there won't be any because I read ON WIKIPEDIA: "...the Wii version of Guitar Hero World Tour will be the first to support some type of downloadable content." or something like that. Sorry. I'm just kind of mad. frogTape (talk) 04:32, 5 June 2008 (UTC)
- There is no DLC available for the Wii, nor are there any plans to make DLC available. I believe it mostly has to do with the limited storage capacity of the Wii itself. Hope that helps more than the previous response. Tdogg241 (talk) 23:11, 6 June 2008 (UTC)
Pandora Controversy
Something should be said about the incalculable number of fans upset by the removal of Pandora from the character line up. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 208.63.48.34 (talk) 16:07, 4 April 2008 (UTC)

PS2 corrupt saves
Here's a reference: http://www.tgpo.org/index.php/2007/10/28/guitar-hero-3-hates-my-memory-card/ —Preceding unsigned comment added by 165.228.204.118 (talk • contribs) 04:33, 5 May 2008 (UTC)
- That happened to me once, but I have an 8 MB memory card and in the source, for those of you who didn't read, it only says that !^ MB cards do that, but then I got the Wii version. I just thought my memory card was bad. frogTape (talk) 04:22, 5 June 2008 (UTC)
Reliable sources for references marked as unreliable
Could someone please provide reliable sources for references that have been marked as unreliable? Gary King (talk) 19:49, 5 May 2008 (UTC)
- Maybe someone can remove them, since this article is protected for some reason. Forums, blogs, etc never pass WP:V. If a reliable source hasn't commented on this issue, it doesn't warrant coverage here.--137.186.84.54 (talk) 00:15, 9 May 2008 (UTC)
Wii controller
I'm really sorry to come here to ask, although technically I'm just saying that this would be useful information to have on the page, but I really need to know if the Wii version will let you play with the "classic controller" attachment, similarly to how the other console versions allow you to use their normal controllers.
- Well, I'm not sure about that, but I know you can't play virtual console games with it. Mario died in about 1 minute.. Anyway, you can use the Wiimote in the guitar to play on VC. That's all I know, but I'll probably get yelled at for not saying this really isn't the place to discus this. Maybe... frogTape (talk) 03:46, 14 June 2008 (UTC)
- I do not think the original poster was asking anything about the Wii Virtual Console. I cannot address the original question, specifically, because I do not know whether the Classic Controller will work. However, the Wii Remote can be used without the guitar peripheral to play the game. The button-to-note-color mappings are detailed in the instruction manual. Mac OS?
Did a game that came out in 2007 really support Mac OS? I think Category:Mac OS games is an error. Dread Lord CyberSkull ✎☠ 00:09, 16 July 2008 (UTC)
"...all versions of the game would feature wireless controllers as well as online multiplayer and downloadable content."
This statement isn't exactly true...the PS2 & Wii console versions have no DLC whatsoever. The PS2 version has no online capability whatsoever, despite there being an ethernet jack in the console. Does anyone know why this is? --2dFx (talk) 01:33, 16 July 2008 (UTC)
No idea, but it pisses me off. The wireless add on for the original PS2 cost a fair bit, too much for it to go so neglected. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 86.130.33.70 (talk) 13:55, 17 July 2008 (UTC)
the PC version also lacks DLC and the online scoreboards don't include PC scores. 66.38.75.179 (talk) 21:37, 27 August 2008 (UTC)
Co-op quickplay vs. Co-op career
"Instead, Co-Op mode is only available in "Co-Op Career" Mode, which uses a different setlist from the main career and therefore does not provide Co-Op multiplayer for the entire soundtrack."
This is incorrect, as all songs are available in the existing co-op "career" mode. However, you must "beat" co-op career before accessing any of them, and then also "unlock" the extra songs in the single-player portion of your selected difficulty. Beating both single-player and co-op on the same difficulty (not easy) unlocks everything in both modes.
"Quickplay" just makes co-op a lot more convenient, as changing difficulties (in a party setting, for instance) is a hassle with the co-op career mode.

You cannot play paint it black in co-op mode, thus, technically not all songs areavailable in co-op —Preceding unsigned comment added by 124.188.216.83 (talk) 10:47, 3 September 2008 (UTC)
Edit from past tense to present tense
"The online play feature will extend to the Wii version, as announced by Nintendo at the 2007 E3 conference".
This should be changed to "The online play feature extends to the Wii version, as announced by Nintendo at the 2007 E3 conference, or something along those lines, which will make it future tense. This must be changed by an autoconfirmed user or higher, as the page is semi-protected from vandalism.

Battle Mode Error
This is just a minor thing, but it says "The mode puts a twist on the Pro Face-off mode introduced in Guitar Hero II
" in the battle mode setion. Since players can choose different difficulties, shouldn't it say it is a twist on the Face-off mode? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 124.188.216.83 (talk) 15:34, 4 August 2008 (UTC)
- Actually, its a combination of both. A twist on the Face-Off mode due to the ability for each player to select their own difficulty setting while also being a twist on the Pro Face-Off mode as both players play the same section of the song at the same time. I'd suggest that the text be re-worded to "
The mode puts a twist on the Pro Face-off mode introduced in Guitar Hero II, however, both players are able to select their own difficulty setting
" or something of the like. Lightsup55 ( T | C ) 23:38, 4 August 2008 (UTC)
Japanese sales data error
"the game has sold 3.037 million units in the United States, 412,000 in the United Kingdom, and 26,000 million in Japan, respectively, for a total of 3.475 million units" (emphasis added)
The Japanese figure is off by six orders of magnitude thanks to the inclusion of the word "million." Merely imagining the idea that 26 billion copies were sold in Japan and the resultant 200 copies per resident is pretty amusing, though. Imolee (talk) 18:22, 9 September 2008 (UTC)
Guitar Hero 3 rewards
Should the rewards you get for beating Guitar Hero 3 be included somewhere? I have only gotten the rewards for beating easy and medium, I would like to know the rewards for beating on hard and expert as well. ~IhateLou 09:02, 22 October 2008
