Fanboy and Chum Chum is an American CGI animated television series produced by Frederator Studios. It is based on a short from Random! Cartoons called Fanboy. The series is created by Eric Robles and directed by Brian Sheesley and Jim Schumann. It will premiere this fall on Nickelodeon.
The series is about Fanboy and Chum Chum, two energetic "super fans" of science fiction and fantasy. They have super hero costumes with underwear outside the costumes and their world is full of comic adventures and misadventures.
Characters
- Fanboy is an enthusiastic fan of fantasy and science fiction. He has no super powers but dresses like a superhero. He wants the "maximum" experience of everything. His best friend, Chum Chum, is always by his side. Voiced by David Hornsby.
- Chum Chum is Fanboy's best friend and sidekick. Like Fanboy, he has no super powers. Voiced by Nika Futterman.
- Kyle is a wizard and the only character with actual powers. He got suspended from wizard school and has to go to a regular public school. Voiced by Jamie Kennedy.
- Yo is a friend of Fanboy and Chum Chum's. She collects Phoocheemon (parody of Pokémon) cards and loves everything cute. She finds Chum Chum "adorable". Voiced by Dyana Liu.
- The Oz is the owner of Oz Comix. Fanboy and Chum Chum think he is "the most knowledgeable human being ever." Voiced by Josh Duhamel.
- Boog is a local bully and the gate keeper to the Game Zone at Frosty's Mart. Voiced by Jeff Bennett.
- Lenny is the junior manager of Frosty's Mart. He finds Fanboy and Chum Chum irritating. Voiced by Wyatt Cenac.
- Mr. Muffin is the class teacher. Voiced by Jeff Bennett.
