Creatures Incorporated (株式会社クリーチャーズ, Kabushiki-gaisha Kurīchāzu) is a Japanese toy company subsidiary of Nintendo. The company was founded as Ape, Inc. by Tsunekazu Ishihara as a joint company between Nintendo and HAL Laboratory. Its current president is Hirokazu Tanaka.
Creatures is the producer of the Pokémon card games and toys, and it owns one-third of the copyright over the Pokémon franchise (the other two-thirds shared equally between Nintendo and Game Freak). The company was found in March, 1989 and has also created the EarthBound series when it was known as Ape Inc.
