Rodrigue Beaubois (born February 24, 1988 in Pointe-à-Pitre, Guadeloupe) is a French professional basketball player who was drafted 25th overall in the 2009 NBA Draft by the Oklahoma City Thunder. He was immediately traded to the Dallas Mavericks after being drafted. He is listed at 6 feet 2 inches (1.88 m) tall and he plays the point guard position.

Pro career

Beaubois was discovered by NBA player Mickael Pietrus at an open basketball camp in his native Guadeloupe. [1] He made his professional debut in the 2006-07 season with Cholet Basket in the French Pro A League.

He was selected 25th overall in the 2009 NBA Draft by the Oklahoma City Thunder, who traded him, along with a future 2nd round draft pick, to the Dallas Mavericks for B. J. Mullens, the 24th overall pick in the 2009 NBA Draft.

On March 27, 2010, Beaubois scored a career-high 40 points and made a rookie record of 9 of 11 three-pointers against the Golden State Warriors.

Since scoring 40 points, Beaubois has been inexplicably riding the pine. This is perhaps the greatest tragedy for the 2009-2010 Dallas Mavericks basketball team.

Beaubois is the best Frenchman to ever play for the Dallas Mavericks.

French national team

Beaubois was a member of the French junior national teams. He is also a member of the senior French national basketball team.
