Request

I realized that you are an expert at Userboxes. Actually, I was looking for Allergy Userboxes, but i could not find them. Will you be willing to make them? Thx --Innocentkimme 15 February 2008 (UTC)

Futsal

I don't know if you're the one that makes these or not, but can we actually get an image with the Futsal userbox? 24.255.152.91 19:24, 13 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Where are they?

How can we see/pick from the Userboxes designated as belonging to User:UBX ? --Lexein 21:57, 13 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]

The userboxes are all in directories hosted in other user's userspaces, and a list of userboxes belonging to User:UBX can be found at Special:Prefixindex/User:UBX/. —METS501 (talk) 22:15, 13 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Tone

I would make User:UBX way less apologetic. You haven't done anything wrong, but the page sounds defensive. — SMcCandlish [talk] [contrib] 21:48, 23 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I think that it's necessary given the controversy that it's caused, though. —METS501 (talk) 01:52, 24 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I Want My Userboxes Back!

This is in no way meant to sound rude, but would I be able to migrate the userboxes I created back to a location under my Userpage? I've set one up, but hadn't got around to moving them all over there yet. --Major Despard 00:38, 24 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]

You mean migrate them to a subpage of your userpage? Sure, no problem, just give me the list and I'll get to it :-) —METS501 (talk) 01:51, 24 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Is the bot supposed to move userboxes from other users subpages to this users subpage? If so, why? [1] --Boivie 14:17, 24 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Rfrisbie is taking a wikibreak, and wants to clear his userspace of userboxes, and he asked that I use MetsBot to migrate the boxes. His userboxes are the only ones I'm going to migrate. —METS501 (talk) 15:18, 24 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Okey, then I understand. Thanks. --Boivie 15:59, 24 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Our very own userboxes

I don't mean to be rude, but could we like create userboxes under User:UBX/(userbox name here)? - PatricknoddyTALK|HISTORY 22:47, 4 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Of course; no problem. —METS501 (talk) 16:15, 14 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Unsubst?

When the user stuff all started, a lot of bots went around subst'ing the boxes. Do you have plans on having your bot go around and (a) unsubst them or (b) notify users that a "global" version is now available? — RevRagnarok Talk Contrib 12:52, 14 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Neither as of now. You may want to try Wikipedia:Bot requests. —METS501 (talk) 16:16, 14 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Nice userbox directories

Your userbox directories are better than the ones I've found in the main Wikipedia: articles, they should be copied to there, just wanted to say that. Rursus 08:57, 15 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks :-) —METS501 (talk) 20:02, 22 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Brilliant idea

For the {{User UBM UBX to|1|2}} couldn't we just change it to, instead of having the user retype the non-template:user template name just user {{BASEPAGENAME}} or {{PAGENAME}}. -PatPeter 17:38, 23 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Try posting that at Wikipedia talk:Userbox migration or Template talk:User UBM UBX to. —METS501 (talk) 19:53, 23 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

userspace -> userspace

Have a look at this edit[2]. 2 problems; "User:UBX" implys that it is more official (why can't you host them on your own account?) and the UBXs were already hosted on a willing user page. There's no reason to move them, and especially not to a specific account for userbox hosting. Scepia 03:56, 25 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Hi. I really like the idea of your userbox directory. Because I missed one, I added my own created userbox to the System of Choice area. Hope you like it, and hope it's of any use :-). -Jort227 13:43, 27 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Great userbox idea

Some of you may have heard about the whole Chris Benoit case with the Wikipedia editor. Well, he vandalized Wikipedia, and what happened? He could face a lot of prison time, and his computer was seized by the police. So, the idea of the userbox is this:

This user knows you could get in trouble with the police if you vandalize Wikipedia.

Something like that, but wittier, and a link leading to story. I dunno what picture should be used, though. What do you guys think? I'd make it, but I dunno how to :'( Xihix 02:07, 2 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Userbox

I would like to create one female userbox based on UBX/female3. May I make it as UBX/female4 please? Rhanyeia 15:21, 17 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I plan a male userbox too. Look at them here and here and let me know if this is fine. Thank you. :) Rhanyeia 08:26, 3 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Sure, either one or both is good, and feel free to host it in your own userspace or in User:UBX's, but to avoid any allegations of being a central repository, I would prefer that host it in your own. Just put them at User:Rhanyeia/UBX/Male and User:Rhanyeia/UBX/Female and add them to a directory somewhere. —METS501 (talk) 14:35, 3 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Userboxes

These boxes have been created by an indef blocked sock: User:UBX/Shrooms and User:UBX/heroin. Do you think they should exist? I wonder if Wikipedia is a right place to advertise drugs. Best regards Rhanyeia 15:15, 22 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Do you think you could delete these with {{db-userreq}}? Best regards Rhanyeia 17:55, 25 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Hi. While I do personally believe that these pages maybe should be deleted, I do not feel it best to simply speedy delete them, as such speedy deletions have been the cause of many problems in the past. You are certainly free to nominate them for deletion, although it may not be worth the effort. —METS501 (talk) 20:50, 25 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]
I'll nominate them for deletion if they can't be deleted otherwise. However, they have been created by an indef blocked sock on your userspace, so I guess you are at the moment responsible of them. If you don't want the responsibility of either holding or deleting this content, could you rename them to my userspace please? Since UBX is your account, if you don't hold responsibility over the content of its userspace it ceases being a userspace and becomes another template namespace, and that would be problematic because on a deletion conversation it would be treated as a userspace. Best regards Rhanyeia 07:05, 26 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]
I've renamed them. Best regards Rhanyeia 10:53, 29 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

A little request!

Dear UBX!

I appreciate your created templates in Wiki Userbox. As I can see in International Cuisines section is not enough. I think you should creat "This user love French cuisine", "This user love Mexican cuisine", "This user love Spanish cuisine", , "This user love Greek cuisine", "This user love Korean cuisine", etc...because it's really popular International cuisines.

Thank you so much!

Best wishes to you!

Copying your Userboxes

It has recently come to my attention that I should ask permission before copying a Userbox from a Userpage to use on my own Userpage. Category suppression

See User talk:Areldyb#Problem with Category:Russian Orthodox Wikipedians. The User:UBX/Userbox/Russian Orthodox userbox template does not implement category suppression. This causes Category:Russian Orthodox Wikipedians to be self-categorizing when it displays the User:UBX/Userbox/Russian Orthodox userbox template. We could fix this problem by adding category suppression to the template. See: User:Willscrlt/UBX/categories for the simple change that would be necessary. Do you mind making this change, or letting someone else make it? Thanks. --Teratornis (talk) 05:02, 24 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]

WP:Hornbook -- a new WP:Law task force for the J.D. curriculum

Hi UBX,

I'm asking Wikipedians who are interested in United States legal articles to take a look at WP:Hornbook, the new "JD curriculum task force".

Our mission is to assimilate into Wikipedia all the insights of an American law school education, by reducing hornbooks to footnotes.

  • Over the course of a semester, each subpage will shift its focus to track the unfolding curriculum(s) for classes using that casebook around the country.
  • It will also feature an extensive, hyperlinked "index" or "outline" to that casebook, pointing to pages, headers, or {{anchors}} in Wikipedia (example).
  • Individual law schools can freely adapt our casebook outlines to the idiosyncratic curriculum devised by each individual professor.
  • I'm encouraging law students around the country to create local chapters of the club I'm starting at my own law school, "Student WP:Hornbook Editors". Using WP:Hornbook as our headquarters, we're hoping to create a study group so inclusive that nobody will dare not join.

What you can do now:

1. Add WP:Hornbook to your watchlist, {{User Hornbook}} to your userpage, and ~~~~ to Wikipedia:Hornbook/participants.
2. If you're a law student,
(You don't have to start the club, or even be involved in it; just help direct me to someone who might.)
3. Introduce yourself to me. Law editors on Wikipedia are a scarce commodity. Do knock on my talk page if there's an article you'd like help on.

Regards, Andrew Gradman talk/WP:Hornbook 20:41, 31 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Love you template. :) Ikip (talk) 23:49, 24 October 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Error in alcohol userboxes

You list the chemical formula for alcohol as C2H6OH, when it is in fact C2H5OH (or C2H6O, but the former is preferred as it unambiguously shows ethanol as opposed to dimethyl ether). --Mark PEA (talk) 17:18, 22 November 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Confusing, not fair wiki use

I'm new to wiki and thought that I have to store all my created userboxes under User:UBX. You're trying to use other wiki editors in a manipulative way to full fill your own ambitions. That's not fair. If you're not trying to do that, then why does User:UBX has resulted in duplication of functions of Wikipedia:Userboxes#Gallery? It gives indirect message and obligation to store userboxes under User:UBX; see also 'A userbox (commonly abbreviated as UBX)' on Wikipedia:Userboxes. I suggest to reconsider your actions if your intentions are fair and with common sense. – imis 04:44, 26 November 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Lord Chaitanya knows everything that happens in all three phases (past, present, and future, of time. He knows that in the future some demoni people will serve Lord Advaita.

Text 123

They will refer to Lord Advaita by the name "Shri Krishna". In this way they will reject the words of the true Vaishnavas.

Text 124

These sinners will thus disobey the devotees who affirm that Advaita is "the greatest Vaishnava".

Text 125

Many persons will consider themselves the followers of Lord Advaita, but they will not have the power to see how in the future they will be punished.

Text 126

Lord Chaitanya, the crest jewel of they who know everything, knew all this. Therefore He did something to try to stop this from happening.

Text 127

By punishing His mother, Lord Chaitanya showed the result that comes from offending Lord Advaita or any other Vaishnava.

Text 128

No one can protect a person who has offended a Vaishnava.

Text 129

Therefore one should avoid persons who offend Vaishnava.

Text 130

One should avoid an offender, even if the offender is otherwise very qualified. A little association with an offender will make one fall down.

Text 131

Who has the power to understand why the Lord gives punishment? By punishing His mother, He taught everyone.

Text 132

Anyone who blasphemes they who use the word `Vaishnava" to address Lord Advaita will be punished. He will perish.

Text 133

Lord Chaitanya is theSupreme Personality of Godhead, the master of all. To be called His follower is very great praise.

Text 134

Without any intention to deceive, Lord Chaitanya openly said that Lord Nityananda is the Supreme Personality of Godhead Himself.

Text 135

By Lord Nityananda's mercy I know Lord Chaitanya. By Lord Nityananda's mercy I know the Vaishnavas.

Text 136

By Lord Nityananda's mercy offenses are destroyed. By Lord Nityananda's mercy one attains devotion to Lord Vishnu.

Text 137

Blasphemy directed to Lord Nityananda's servants never enters my mouth. Day and night I happily sing Lord Chaitanya's glories

Text 138

I carefully serve Lord Nityananda's devotees. Lord Chaitanya is the life and wealth of Lord Nityananda's servants.

Text 139

A person who has only a little good fortune will not become Lord Nityananda's servant, for Lord Nityananda's servant is able to see Lord Chaitanya.

Text 140

Anyone who hears this story of Lord Visvarupa becomes a servant of the limitless Supreme Personality of Godhead. He feels that Lord Nityananda is his very life.

Text 141

Lord Nityananda and Lord Visvarupa do not have different bodies. This Mother Saci knew. Some other great souls also knew.

Text 142

Glory to Lord Nityananda, who takes shelter of Lord Chaitanya! Glory, glory to Lord Nityananda, who is thousand-faced Ananta Sesha!

Text 143

O Lord Nityananda, O king of Gauda-desa, glory to You! Who can attain Lord Chaitanya without first attaining Your mercy?

Text 144

Anyone who loses Lord Nityananda will not be happy in this life.

Text 145

Will I some day see Lord Chaitanya, Lord Nityananda, and their associates all thogether in one place?

Text 146

Lord Chaitanya is my master. With great faith and hope I meditate on Him within my heart.

Text 147

I bow down before Lord Advaita's feet. I pray that he will always be dear to me and that He will always stay in my thoughts.

Text 148

The two moons Shri Krishna Chaitanya and Shri Nityananda are my life and soul. I, Vrindavana dasa, sing the glories of Their feet.
