File permission problem with File:BernardHopkins.jpg

Thanks for uploading File:BernardHopkins.jpg. I noticed that while you provided a valid copyright licensing tag, there is no proof that the creator of the file agreed to license it under the given license.

If you created this media entirely yourself but have previously published it elsewhere (especially online), please either

  • make a note permitting reuse under the CC-BY-SA or another acceptable free license (see this list) at the site of the original publication; or
  • Send an email from an address associated with the original publication to permissions-en@wikimedia.org, stating your ownership of the material and your intention to publish it under a free license. You can find a sample permission letter here.

If you did not create it entirely yourself, please ask the person who created the file to take one of the two steps listed above, or if the owner of the file has already given their permission to you via email, please forward that email to permissions-en@wikimedia.org.

If you believe the media meets the criteria at Wikipedia:Non-free content, use a tag such as {{non-free fair use in|article name}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:Image copyright tags#Fair use, and add a rationale justifying the file's use on the article or articles where it is included. See Wikipedia:Image copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.

If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have provided evidence that their copyright owners have agreed to license their works under the tags you supplied, too. You can find a list of files you have uploaded by following this link. Files lacking evidence of permission may be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Barret (talk) 17:07, 12 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]

A tag has been placed on File:BernardHopkins.jpg requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section I7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because it is a non-free image with a clearly invalid licensing tag; or it otherwise fails some part of the non-free content criteria.

If you can find a valid tag that expresses why the image can be used under the fair use guidelines, please replace the current tag with that tag. If no such tag exists, please add the {{non-free fair use in|article name that the image is used in}} tag, along with a brief explanation of why this constitutes fair use of the image. If the image has been deleted, you can re-upload it, but please ensure you place the correct tag on it.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Thanks for your message. The source seems sufficiently reliable to me, but more would need to be done to properly establish it as a WP:RS. Cheers, Mattythewhite (talk) 16:36, 12 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks. I am indeed and am anticipating kick-off in Rustenberg, but I'd be enjoying it all much more if this team had won this match. Mattythewhite (talk) 17:05, 12 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Cork City Players

The player has only just signed and I have to be honest, he has made appearances in the Danish divisions but I don't know how many. I've found two previous clubs he was with (Ikast and Tjörring IF), but no list of appearances or anything. He's a goalkeeper and is right now our second choice, it would be crazy to get rid of him from wiki as he will probably get a game very very soon-especially as we have Cup matches coming up. A goalkeeper can't be just thrown in and out so quickly, but if he's your second choice his relevance to the team and its supporters is quite high. I'm trying my best to flesh out the articles on Cork City but the media articles on the League of Ireland First Division are low compared to the top flight, and it is a slow process. I know there is a long running argument about LOI players being included, especially those that have yet to make an appearance in the first team, but surely a man who only signed this month could be given a little bit of time? --Joseph McSweeney (talk) 11:00, 13 July 2010 (UTC)[reply]

I concur. Admittedly I am also a Cork City fan but Piechnik will very likely soon be the first choice goalkeeper for one of the most popular teams in Ireland. A wiki reader looking for information on the club, including quite possibly Danes with no real knowledge of the club (beyond it's defeat of neighbours Malmo FF in 2004), should be informed about him. Given that he may even be playing tonight in a game against Mervue, it would be at very least awkwardly pedantic to delete him now. GavinZac (talk) 13:10, 13 July 2010 (UTC)[reply]
