GamesRadar is a multi-format video game website featuring previews, reviews, features, videos, cheats, forums and breaking news. It is owned and operated simultaneously in the UK and US by Future Publishing (which includes Future US), a worldwide publisher of enthusiast and lifestyle websites and magazines. GamesRadar receives approximately 3.25 million unique visitors per month[1], and also includes CheatPlanet, which was acquired by Future in 2005 [2].

On September 11, 2007, GamesRadar launched a downloads feature called Fileradar. Fileradar allows users to download mods, hacks and content for games on the PC.

The website has gone through multiple layout and design changes, the latest of which occurred on July 12, 2010.[3]

One of the site's most popular features is their "Top 7" lists, similar to top 10 lists found on many other sites. The PC section of GamesRadar is organized by the gaming magazine PC Gamer. PC Gamer's official U.S. website, PC Gamer Online, formerly redirected to GamesRadar; it now goes to its own site hosting articles from recent issues.

On 14 August 2008 it was announced that the British forums would be closed down and merged with the American side of the site. In response, some of the members of the British forums launched their own forum, named GRcade[4].

TalkRadar: The weekly GamesRadar Podcast

TalkRadar is GamesRadar's weekly podcast, in which the hosts discuss things going on in the gaming world, as well as features on GamesRadar and other articles from Future property (such as articles from Edge Online and OXM). It is one of the main features on GamesRadar.

The hosts of TalkRadar include:

  • Chris Antista (Associate Editor)
  • Brett Elston (Executive Editor)
  • Mikel Reparaz (Senior PlayStation Editor)
  • Charlie Barratt (Senior Microsoft Editor)
  • Tyler Wilde (Features/Community Editor)
  • Henry Gilbert (Associate Production Editor)
  • Lizzie Cuevas (Associate Video Editor)
  • Tyler Nagata (Senior PC Editor)

Every podcast starts with discussion of GamesRadar's weekly Top 7 feature. The usual format is broken into three parts: the aforementioned Top 7 in the first part, discussion of other features and news in the second part, and a community segment in the third, which features a question of the week directed at forum users.
