Template:Infobox Indian jurisdiction Ulundurpettai (Tamil: உளுந்தூர்பேட்டை) is a panchayat town in Viluppuram district in the Indian state of Tamil Nadu. Vellaiyur, a famous village is situated 5 km from Ulundurpettai in Salem road.

Demographics

As of 2001 India census[1], Ulundurpettai had a population of 19,251. Males constitute 50% of the population and females 50%. Ulundurpettai has an average literacy rate of 71%, higher than the national average of 59.5%: male literacy is 79%, and female literacy is 63%. In Ulundurpettai, 12% of the population is under 6 years of age.

Politics

Ulundurpettai assembly constituency is part of Villupuram (Lok Sabha constituency).[2]
