The following are public holidays in Libya.

Date English name Remarks
February 17 17th of February Revolution The start of Libyan revolution on 17th of February 2011.
October 23 Liberation Day Liberation day from Gaddafi regime.
December 24 Independence Day Anniversary of Libyan independence in 1951.

In addition, the following Muslim holidays, which may take place at any time of the year, are observed as public holidays:
