Requests for registration

Please read the guide on the main page before requesting permission. In applying for AWB access, you indicate that you will abide by its terms.

Also, this page is for requesting AWB Access for this wiki (English Wikipedia) only. Other projects have their own check pages and you should ask administrators there to add you.

Please add your name to the bottom of the list using *{{AWBUser|your username}} ~~~~~. Enter your user name exactly as it is, do not add underscores instead of spaces or change the case of the first letter.

If the list contains undecided entries that are over 48 hours old, please add {{Admin backlog}} to the top of this page.

Note that users with under 500 mainspace non-automated edits are rarely approved. You only need to give a reason for wanting AWB access if you have fewer than 500 mainspace non-automated edits.

If approved, your name will be added to the CheckPage.

Users

As you can see, I am currently using WikiCleaner to fix errors and typos on Wikipedia. I would benefit from using this tool to semi automatically fix more errors and basic typos on the articles. Regards, Wikih101 (talk) 20:53, 6 February 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Would you be open to waiting till you reach 500 edits? It might give you a better understanding of various editing issues. Wifione Message 17:43, 13 February 2012 (UTC)[reply]
  • I would prefer using AWB even before reaching the 500 edits because every time I get onto Wikipedia, I always see many typographic errors and is very tedious to manually correct them every time. Thank you for your understanding and I hope you could approve me, Wikih101 (talk) 23:59, 13 February 2012 (UTC)[reply]
    • Wikih101 seems to have popped over the 500 limit in a big way, but with huge automation assist. I like to see at least 400 non automated edits that show that thought has happened, rather than a video game button press. Will someone else consider granting the entry? Graeme Bartlett (talk) 10:21, 18 February 2012 (UTC)[reply]
You only waited six hours after your previous request was archived. I don't necessarily agree with Graeme's reasoning, but they pretty clearly told you to wait a week, and you failing to mention your previous request or talk to Graeme about this looks rather like admin shopping. What's the rush? - Kingpin13 (talk) 17:52, 13 February 2012 (UTC)[reply]
Well the good news is that the request is formatted correctly now. My concern was that things may go similarly wrong with AWB use. Graeme Bartlett (talk) 08:18, 14 February 2012 (UTC)[reply]
I've waited a week now.User Talk:Willdude123 17:16, 21 February 2012 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks for waiting, but  Not done due to almost no experience with editing (almost every edit is undo or revert). Please do about 400 manual constructive edits that show your skill with Wikipedia editing. Graeme Bartlett (talk) 20:45, 26 February 2012 (UTC)[reply]
You haven't hit the 500 mainspace edit threshold. What do you wish to do with AWB? Tyrol5 [Talk] 12:54, 20 February 2012 (UTC)[reply]
I have. I've made 640 edits, including delete. Devin Davis (talk) 18:22, 22 February 2012 (UTC)[reply]
Or unless you're talking about unique article edits. Devin Davis (talk) 23:45, 22 February 2012 (UTC)[reply]
Correct. I'm talking about main (article) space edits (the red portion of the pie chart), of which you have about 330 or so. Apologies if I wasn't clear above. Tyrol5 [Talk] 03:33, 23 February 2012 (UTC)[reply]
