Unriddle 2 (simplified Chinese: 最火搭档 2) is a Singaporean Chinese drama which was telecasted on Singapore's free-to-air channel, MediaCorp Channel 8. It will made its debut on 5 March 2012. This drama serial consists of 20 episodes, and will be screened on every weekday night at 9:00 pm. In Malaysia, it will be broadcast on the ntv7 primetime drama slot at 10:00pm around May.
Reason for sequel
In the Season 1 ending, Xiaoman (Rui En) and Zhengyi aka Bun (Chen Liping) were about to find out the mystery of a new case, and before they find out, it was already the ending of Season 1, thus a new season of 20 episodes will be broadcast. A confirmed new supporting characters will be acted by Elvin Ng, Yuan Shuai, Adam Chen and new artiste Romeo Tan. Original characters Zhou Ying and Joshua Ang will also be acting. Xiang Yun will return in Season 2, and Tay Ping Hui may appear more often in Season 2.
Story
Picking up from where the story left off in Unriddle, the feisty duo Xiaoman and Zhengyi continue to be beleaguered by cases of complex crimes beyond their imagination. Worse still, a loved one gets incapacitated by a mysterious mastermind. Faced with doubt, can the duo overcome all obstacles and capture the perpetrator? Back by popular demand, Unriddle 2 boasts the original cast of Rui En, Chen Li Ping, Tay Ping Hui, Zhou Ying, Xiang Yun and Joshua Ang. The new season will also see Elvin Ng join the set as a member of the Criminal Investigation Department, also Rui En’s nemesis!
Zhengyi Trapped 正仪身陷阿修罗炼狱 (ep 1-3)
Day 8. After leaving a dagger in the eatery, Asura disappears without a trace and is never seen again. Zhengyi confirms that Asura’s purpose in coming to Singapore from Tokyo is to avenge the death of his brother, Shanfan. But why has Asura not make his move yet? During these eight days, Zhengyi lives in fear that Asura will appear any time.
In the meantime, Xiaoman is transferred to the Criminal Investigation Department to assume the position of Deputy Director. Together with Yuze, who has resumed duty, both of them oversee the case involving Asura. She deduces that Asura was acting mysteriously to instill fear in Zhengyi. The elusive Asura finally strikes on the night of the eighth day, with an attempt on Zhengyi’s life. Xiaoman happens to appear on the scene, and both of them are thrown into a fierce battle….
A murder case surfaces shortly after. The victim is a triad member from Japan. Xiaoman and Yuze link the victim to Asura. Using the victim’s identity as a lead to their investigations, Xiaoman and Yuze chance upon some Japanese triad members operating secretly in Singapore. As Xiaoman and Yuze go into action to arrest them, a clash ensues. The leader, Kuroda Yutaka (黑田丰), is arrested, but they lost track of Asura.
Through Kuroda Yutaka, Xiaoman and Yuze learn that Asura is not only seeking revenge on Zhengyi but was hatching a plot….
已经是第8天了，自从阿修罗在小食店内留下一把匕首后，就销声匿迹，再也没有任何消息。正仪确定阿修罗从日本东京来新加坡，目地是为他的胞弟 — 山番复仇；可是为何过了这么久阿修罗还不行动？在这8天里，正仪受尽煎熬，终日担惊受怕，提防阿修罗将随时随地出现。
这时小曼已被调职到’重案调查组’任职副组长，和复职后的雨泽一同负责调查阿修罗的案件；她推测阿修罗意图对正仪制造恐惧，因此故弄玄虚；但阿修罗如鬼魅般神出鬼没，终于在第8天的晚上进行突袭，意图杀害正仪，适逢小曼在场，两人顿时发生一场恶斗…
The abyss of suffering 当你凝视深渊时，深渊也在凝视你 (ep 4-10)
Dylan continues to woo Xiaoman, but Xiaoman indicates point blank that Dylan is not the man for her. Although Dylan is disappointed, he is determined not to give up pursuing Xiaoman’s love.
Soon after, Xiaoman discovers that Yuze is secretly investigating Dylan for he suspects that Dylan murdered his ex-girlfriend, Fan Huizhong. Xiaoman is aware that Dylan and Huizhong were once in love with each other. She suspects that Yuze is convinced that Dylan is the murderer out of jealousy. Yuze’s unit adopts unlawful procedures to monitor Dylan’s movements covertly in an effort to nail him.
Xiaoman finds nothing suspicious about Dylan, and feels that Yuze is too eager to avenge his ex-girlfriend’s death. He has no evidence whatsoever to charge Dylan. She also suspects that Yuze is abusing his authority, seemingly to punish Dylan personally. To stop Yuze from committing more mistakes, she has no choice but to suspend Yuze.
Yuze pursues the case relentlessly but is killed.
Dylan依然积极的追求小曼，但小曼却表明她目前无法投入男女感情，也直接表示Dylan并非她心目中的对象。Dylan虽然失望，但却没放弃继续追求小曼的决心。
不久，小曼发现雨泽在暗中调查Dylan，原因是雨泽怀疑Dylan杀害他前女友 — 范慧中。小曼也得知当年Dylan曾经和慧中发生感情，怀疑雨泽或许是心生妒恨，所以才会认定Dylan是凶手。
其实雨泽一直隐瞒心里的一个秘密，他知道，如要查出Dylan的真面目，必须隐瞒下去，否则小曼一定会阻止他。同时他也要求正仪暗中帮助他进行调查的工作，仿佛不信任小曼。雨泽部署了暗中监视Dylan的行动，采用了不合法的程序，势必要查出Dylan的罪证…
The final battle 最火搭档 与宿命决战
Xiaoman recalls the string of events 6 years ago which seem unconnected. However, after piecing everything together, it dawns on her that someone was manipulating the chain of events to target her in an attempt to land her in trouble. Xiaoman and Zhengyi are determined to fish out this mysterious person.
Zhengyi has already sensed that Xiaoman seems to be obsessed with capturing the murderer. Zhengyi is worried that her best friend is slipping into the fringe of the dark side. If she does not pull her up, Xiaoman would eventually commit an unpardonable mistake.
Langfeng suddenly gets hold of evidence on Xiaoman’s crime, forcing her to quit the police force. Did Xiaoman really break the law by killing criminals as a way of punishing them? What was Langfeng’s stance? Was he trying to help Xiaoman or destroy her? Who was the manipulator out to get Xiaoman?
6年后的今天，一名男子被杀，赫然也是被挖走了一双眼珠；紧接另一名男子被杀，也同样是被切割手指。小曼心里知道，这不是巧合，一定有人暗中重演当年的案件，目标肯定是指向她。

正仪已经察觉小曼为了逮捕凶手，似乎有些走火入魔的状态；好几次，正仪都察觉小曼有意无意的让罪犯死去，私自制裁了罪犯。正仪担忧，她这名最要好的朋友渐渐陷入黑暗的边缘，如果再不拉她一把，或许就会犯下无法挽回的过错！
这时，朗峰赫然掌握了小曼的罪证，逼小曼离开警队；难道，小曼确实为了制裁罪犯，罔顾法律而杀害罪犯？而朗峰的立场是什么？到底他想帮助小曼，抑或是要摧毁小曼？到底这名处处针对小曼的幕后黑手是谁？

TVC teaser Cases
In this drama it will involve three of five cases shown in the TVCs:
- Meiling and Meifen, both 22, who were last discovered on the roof of a shophouse and went missing for 104 days 8 hours 32 minutes 21 seconds,
- Wenguo and Wenhao, both 2 months old, who were last discovered in a rubbish dump and went missing for 30 days 21 hours 17 minutes 21 seconds, and
- Yuqi and Yulin, both 33, who were last discovered at an old tree and went missing for 83 days 15 hours 42 minutes 21 seconds.
Trivia
- Zoe Tay was the initial announced choice for the role of Lin Zheng Yi in Season 1 but had to give up the role due to an unplanned pregnancy. The role was given to Chen Liping instead for both seasons.
- Tay Ping Hui, despite one of the male lead, will not appear for 8 or more episodes. His role Zhang Yuze died in episode 7. Out of 40 episodes in the Unriddle Seasons, he appeared for only 14 episodes in total.
- This seasons's TVC cases are somewhat unrelated to the show.
- Elvin Ng will appear in episode 8. He will appear in 13 episodes in total.
- The "Unriddle" theme music is better than "Unriddle 2" theme music which is much different.
- For the 1st time, Chen Li Ping and Rui En are buddies in this show.
- It appears that Chen Tianwen, Wang Yuqing, Lin Meijiao and Brandon Wong will be acting as different roles in the sequel, thus they portray as two roles in the duology.
- Andie Chen did not appear in this sequel.
- The drama was initially titled Lost & Found, but however changed to Unriddle due to netizens request for thriller in the drama.
- There might be another season that will be named Unriddle 3
