World of Warcraft: The Burning Crusade

I see you have edited World of Warcraft: The Burning Crusade, thank you. But, there is a matter of removing content that has a place in the article. I am refeering to the picture of the leaked image of Pandaren in said article. When making such changes, it is important that you explain why in the edit summary and in most cases discuss it with the other editors on the articles discussion page. Hope to see more of your edits in the future. Havok (T/C) 11:21, 6 November 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Revert

Can you please read the talk page before (re-)adding your material to the Liancourt Rocks article. I have stated my reasons for the removal there. Have a nice day! Kokiri 17:14, 12 January 2006 (UTC)[reply]

You're already in breach of the three revert rule on the Liancourt Rocks article. If you continue with such edits, you're be immediately blocked. Please take your concerns to the article talk page and try and reach a consensus version. Alai 15:13, 3 February 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Source, please

Dear Deiaemeth,

While your constructive contributions to Wikipedia are welcome, what seem to be your brazen insertions of nationalist POV into Korea-related articles are not. Please begin to provide some authoritative sources for your assertions that Buyeo/Fuyu, Goguryeo/Gaogouli, and Balhae/Bohai were ethnically Korean. Also it would be nice if you could provide an explanation of what those sources mean by "ethnically Korean," when referring to states that seem to long predate the construction of modern national identities.

That these states were part of Korean history can hardly be disputed; yet to forcefully assert that they were Korean (and not Manchurian, Tungusic, or simply themselves) seems problematic. I'm really not interested in an edit war over something as trivial as this, which is why I (and many other Wikipedians) would appreciate it if you would cite your sources.

Also, I'm curious -- if Goguryeo and Balhae were Korean, doesn't that mean that the Malgal/Mohe tribes were also Korean?

Happiness, -- Visviva 14:48, 4 February 2006 (UTC)[reply]

What i meant to say is that most internationally recognized publications refer to Balhae and Goguryeo as part of History of Korea, as contrary to Chinese claim that Balhae and Guguryeo people are part of Chinese ethnic groups. Sorry if you misunderstood me, I guess my statement was unclear. As usual, thank you for your great contributions to many articles on Wikipedia :). I try to maintain NPOV and neutral position on Wikipedia, yet I've seen too much POV in Wikipedia, so I tend to fall off course. Have a nice day! Deiaemeth 20:37, 4 February 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Reporting vandalism

Hi, I saw your note on Administrator intervention against vandalism, I removed the entry as there didn't seem to be any warnings on the users page. By the time it's put on that page there should be several warnings. You should go talk to him if he'll listen, otherwise drop a warning on his talk page. From what I saw it looks like their should be some conversations going on....anyway, let me know if you need something! Thanks! Rx StrangeLove 07:16, 5 February 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Yi Su-gwang

I wanted to suggest someone do an article on Yi Sugwang, but couldn't figure out the right category. I really think there is a need for more articles on the thinkers and intellectuals of East Asia in the pre-modern era. What do you think? Bathrobe 11:32, 6 February 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Although I'm not personally an expect on subject of thinkers and intellectuals of East Asia, an article on Yi Su-Gwang would be a great idea indeed. There aren't much English information on his life though. I currently do not have the time to write the entire article, but I could start the basic structure for it, and have more editors participate in the article creation process. Deiaemeth 23:59, 6 February 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Great! I'll look around for editors specialising in Korean history, although they don't seem easy to find. But this should be a start. Bathrobe 00:23, 14 February 2006 (UTC)[reply]

RfM

Hi -- User:Endroit has filed a RfM with regard to East Sea, &c. You were not a named party, but please see if you want to be involved. Thanks. --Nlu (talk) 08:09, 12 February 2006 (UTC)[reply]

An RfM (Request for Mediation) has been filed, titled East Sea (disambiguation) and related pages.
If you strongly feel that you are involved in this issue, and wish to be involved in RfM as well, please indicate so by marking "Agree" in the section titled Parties' agreement to mediate, and signing your name with four tildes ~~~~. If you mark "Agree", you may also add any issues that have not yet been included to the section marked Additional issues to mediate.--Endroit 18:06, 12 February 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Request for Mediation

Wikipedia:Requests for mediation/East Sea (disambiguation) has been accepted by the Mediation Committee; mediation will begin on that page as soon as a mediator is assigned. Mediators are generally given several days to review and volunteer on cases which they feel particularly suited to mediate; if no mediator volunteers to take the case, one will be assigned. Please pay careful attention to the mediation subpage, as further communication from the Committee will occur there. (Adding that page to your watchlist would be very helpful.)

Please vote on move request

You should vote on your proposed move at Talk:Baitou Mountain. Nominations are not always counted as a vote. LuiKhuntek 22:18, 13 February 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you for the heads-up on voting procedures on moving pages.

I actually don't know the official rule. I've been chastiz/sed by other users both for voting and for not voting on my own proposals. I've voted on several of my own and never had complaints from an Admin so I figure its kosher/cricket. LuiKhuntek 22:26, 13 February 2006 (UTC)[reply]

? Welcome

You put up a Welcome on Currywurry overnight? If you check out the 7 contributions of this user you will note that they are all vandalism. I didn't realise Wiki welcomed vandals? I've reverted the Huddersfield related vandalism. perhaps you would like to deal with the rest? 86.2.138.123 10:15, 22 February 2006 (UTC)[reply]

oops, I was trying to greet newcomers today. I usually check their contrib history before greeting them, but I guess I overlooked him. Sorry!

Thanks for welcome and BTW ...

Thanks for the 'welcome' ... BTW I notice you put one on Talk:Schibsted as well ... not a user page. DogsBreakfast 10:35, 22 February 2006 (UTC)[reply]

반갑습니다 nice to meet you ^^

안녕하십니까, Deiaemeth씨. Deiaemeth씨는 저에게 인사를 먼저 해주셔서 고맙습니다. 한국학 화이팅! Thanks for dropping by my user page and thank you for you concern about the editing of Korean-related articles. Korean prehistory has been ignored and undervalued in the past, but everybody all over the world who works in archaeology, anthropology and all social sciences can learn so much about the secondary origins of agriculture AND how complex societies formed if we simply present the prehistory of Korea as it is -- incredibly rich, interesting, and meaningful. The key is to give archaeological scholarly endeavors equal time with the results of historical studies (i.e. Dangun, Gojoseon, Wiman Joseon, etc), especially in cases in which vast time periods are not informed by historical materials. Have a nice day. 그럼 건강하고 수고하세요! Mumun 16:02, 22 February 2006 (UTC)올림[reply]

Welcome

Please take another look at the Currywurry user page and the contributions in the talk page of Martin_Kelner. This guy is a self admitting vandal of Wikipedia and should be barred permanently from the site? All his contrubutions to date consist of vandalism! 86.3.1.72 16:11, 1 March 2006 (UTC)[reply]

thanks

we need all the help we can get with korea-related articles, especially history/culture/arts. i've been meaning to go through the history articles, but it's so easy to get sidetracked. i'm learning a lot just by working on articles here, i hope you are too, and that you can stick around to continue the great job. thanks. I'm offering to take on this mediation. Please note that I am not yet a member of the mediation committee and am under trial. If you are happy for me to mediate please email me using Subject:"East sea mediation", a summary of your view of the issue. MyNameIsNotBob 10:14, 7 March 2006 (UTC)[reply]

hey, just wondering if you're participating in the mediation Appleby 05:23, 10 March 2006 (UTC)[reply]

History of Korea

Hello and thank you for your query about using MR Romanisation in my edits regarding the history of Korea.

The MR romanisations are used in the sources that I have cited in editing the page, and I merely reproduced the sources from Samguk Yusa and Kim Jong-il regime's KCNA. I felt this was necessary to maintain the integrity of the sources: If you are citing a source, you should not temper with a word within it to create a mythical view that is not valid. I hope that helps to answer your question. Sydneyphoenix

Yi Su-Gwang

A stub? It's great! In fact, it's even more interesting than I thought it would be! Thanks for that!

PS: You also need a redirect from Yi Sugwang. User:Bathrobe 13 April (not logged on)

I notice that Yu Su-Gwang is identified on this site [1] as one of the "four Sirhak scholars, Yi Sugwang (1563-1628), Yi Ik (1681-1763), An Chôngbok (1712-1791), Hong Taeyong (1731-1783)".
There is no Wikipedia article on Sirhak, but there is a page on Silhak, which is just a redirect to Neo-Confucianism. Do you have any idea what the Sirhak/Silhak school was about? There isn't a lot on the Internet.
