Episode 1 (17 March)
All the thirteen contestants arrived at Jaipur and met each other. An intriguing scroll which was read by Arsh got them puzzled as they were told to dress for party.
Roadies reached the venue 'Jaipur Greens'. While they were dancing, suddenly music stopped and Agnee Band came along. Then Mohan (from Agnee) said that the venue was the place where their first immunity task shall occur. They had to sing and best singer among them would receive immunity. Later, it was revealed that he was just messing with their heads and advised them to believe only on the scrolls provided. Then Agnee performed roadies 9 theme song Manmaani. Then after performance Mohan told that his one of good friend wants to meet roadies and Rannvijay entered. He gave them cue cards with questions on them.
The results obtained were as follows:
Biggest Politician – Pratima (4 votes)
Biggest Threat – Abhishek Shetty (5 votes)
Abhishek Shetty was,in turn, made first captain.
Biggest Loser – Arsh (3 votes)
Rannvijay also said that Biggest Looser will not perform in the upcoming money task. But as Kanak wrote nobody's name under the biggest Looser, Rannvijay asked other roadies except Arsh and Kanak to decide who will not perform in next money task. Roadies chose Arsh.
Money task
For the task Rannvijay asked the 12 roadies to divide themselves in four teams of three. Each team had to move a wooden log towards end line. Ten flags between the starting line and end line were to be crossed. With each flag passed they will receive ₹5,000. Each team could win maximum ₹50,000 each but maximum amount that roadies can win in that task was ₹1,00,000 only.
Then Rannvijay said that he will add some complications to the task.
Hitesh Nagpal, winner of Roadies battleground 4 appeared on the task location and got introduced to roadies by Rannvijay. Rannvijay asked him to select one person whom he would like to switch places with and he chose Vinay Abhishek. Then Rannvijay said that Hitesh was there to increase difficulty in task and he would stop roadies from moving the log. As difficulty was increased because of Hitesh, Rannvijay said that if roadies were able to make ₹75,000 then he will give them ₹1,00,000 otherwise they'll end up having ₹0.
Teams:
Team 1 – Diyali, Anirudh, Khushbu
Team 2 – Kanaka, Taranjeet, Vinay Abhishek

Then all the thirteen roadies were asked to vote out three roadies each. The three roadies voted out will not be eliminated, instead they would be deprived of getting immunity and participating in Immunity tasks in the Indian leg of the Roadies journey. Arsh(8), Pratima(8) and Vikas(7) gained the maximum number of votes. They were then given a chance by Raghu to come out of this situation by challenging a fellow roadie and winning against that roadie. Arsh challenged Abhishek Shetty, Vikas challenged Anirudh and Pratima challenged Diyali.
Episode 3 (31 March)
Rannvijay explained the next task to Arsh, Pratima, Vikas, Abhishek, Anirudh and Diyali. The task was to stand with one leg up on a pillar till five minutes while the other team would be hitting you with eggs and tomatoes. If any one from the team even touches his other leg on the pillar, the whole task is over. From team 1, Arsh lost his balance in 10 seconds and from Team 2, Abhishek Shetty lost his balance in 4 seconds. This meant that Abhishek Shetty, Diyali and Anirudh can't get Immunity in the Indian leg of the journey. Later the roadies were called for the their Immunity task. They had to make 4 teams with a boy and a girl each. Abhishek Shetty, Diyali and Anirudh were not eligible for participating and, Himani and Pratima had got no partners since there were only 4 boys left to team up with. The teams were- Arsh and Khushbu; Vikas and Dimpy; Vinay and Taranjeet; Kanaka and Manali. This was a GK task. Questions were mostly based on USA. The girls were to answer and if any answer was wrong then boys had to go through enema to keep themselves and their fellow partners in the fray of getting immunity. They could only opt for it once which meant that a second wrong answer and you are out. No one was able to get immunity. Rannvijay then told them that today there is a vote out and one roadie has got to go for sure. Arsh was the one to be voted out.

Controversy
- The ninth season opened with the tagline "Everything or Nothing" portraying to the audiences that the season was to go beyond limits. Raghu and Ranvijay were frequently seen stressing on the fact that the show will test roadies to the extent that they'll crumble down to pieces. Subsequently, this proved to be authentic in every way possible. Apart from the verbal abuses that flew in the auditions the first episode witnessed Raghu bashing almost all the roadies for their performance in the money task. Kanaka Raju was held up by his collar in an attempt to give him a lesson to stop controversial talks regarding the format of the show. This not only depicted bullying but also showed a clear sense of desperation telling that the producers want actual drama on the show rather than a review on the concept they created. Journey episode 2 involved an immunity task that required the male roadies to be injected with enema, a method that was not only painful for the participants but also embarrassing to be shown on national television. Indian articles about the show credited it as "a way for Raghu and Rajiv to take their frustration out, that is, via torturing [contestants]." Furthermore, Raghu was seen beating male contestants with a wooden stick as a punishment for losing a money task against an unofficial roadie Hitesh Nagpal. Apart from the mental pressure inflicted upon the contestants to perform well on challenges, tasks which gave the impression of an "Army training camp" were a usual sight in the competition. These were not only tough to bear but also tiring to the extent of dehydration. Female roadies who were made to race across a field carrying loads on their back frequently fell to the ground in screams with muscle spasms. On the other hand male roadies were asked to lay down on a bed of nails and simultaneously do crunches which resulted in blood oozing out of their back.
