GOOD Fridays is a weekly free music giveaway started by rapper Kanye West. The name originates from the name of his label, GOOD Music, and is also a reference to the Friday before Easter, which is known as Good Friday. Every Friday, beginning on August 20, 2010, Kanye planned on releasing a new song available for free download on his website.

It is similar to Crooked I's program "Hip Hop Weekly" and inspired fellow rappers to do the same thing: Lloyd Banks with "Blue Friday", Slim da Mobster with "Freestyle Fridays", Swizz Beatz with "Monster Mondays", RZA with "Wu Wednesdays", Timbaland with "Timbaland Thursdays", J. Cole with "Any Given Sunday", Snoop Dogg with "Puff, Puff Pass Tuesdays", and recently, Slim Thug with "Thug Thursdays".

All of the GOOD Friday tracks come with their own cover art.[1] West initially announced that the free music program releases songs from August 20, 2010 to Christmas 2010. However at the beginning of November, West announced that he was extending GOOD Fridays until the end of January.[2] So far, 15 GOOD Friday tracks have been released through the program and three tracks appeared on West's album My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy.[3] In a posting on his Twitter page, GOOD Music artist Big Sean said that the series was temporarily put on hold in order to keep full attention on My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy.[4]

The series restarted on April 6, 2012 with the release of "Mercy".

Also peaked at position #18 on the Billboard Hot 100. Before being taken off, it was re-released with a couple of musical changes and a different cover (only change from the original cover was the font sizes of the artists).[5]
"Runaway Love" (remix)

"Devil in a New Dress" September 3, 2010 The release of this track is a shortened version of what was later released on My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy, and lacks the guitar solo and Rick Ross' verse. The song was produced by Bink!.

"Chain Heavy"
(featuring Talib Kweli and Consequence) 		November 12, 2010 This song was originally recorded with intent to be a bonus track on My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy but was cut from the album, along with the still unreleased "Momma's Boyfriend". The song was produced by Q-Tip.
"Christmas in Harlem"
(featuring Cam'ron, Jim Jones, Vado, Cyhi the Prynce, Pusha T, Musiq Soulchild, Teyana Taylor and Big Sean) 		December 17, 2010 This track was released officially through iTunes on December 17, 2010 only including Teyana Taylor, CyHi Da Prynce and Kanye. The final version was officially released the following week. When downloaded through the official GOOD Friday webpage, the track downloads as the track for December 17. However, no track was released with the album marking of "12.24.10". Furthermore, this was the track first released after West took a break to focus all attention on his recently released album, My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy. Produced by Hit-Boy.

(featuring DJ Khaled) 		April 17, 2012 Released as a Digital Download. Originally named "Theraflu" but renamed to "Way Too Cold" after complaints from the makers of Theraflu. Later shortened to "Cold". Also part of Cruel Summer.
"I Don't Like" (remix)
(featuring Pusha T, Chief Keef, Jadakiss and Big Sean) 		May 1, 2012 The song was released as a free download on West's website. Is a remix of "I Don't Like", originally by Chief Keef. Later shortened to "Don't Like" and released on Cruel Summer.
"Burn"
(Meek Mill featuring Big Sean) 		May 4, 2012 The song has the same beat as the Jadakiss song "Paper Tags" and also appears on Mill's Dreamchasers 2 mixtape; further solidifies G.O.O.D Music's co-operation with Maybach Music Group after Slight Work, Live Fast, Die Young amongst other songs.
