Requests for registration

Please read the guide on the main page before requesting permission. In applying for AWB access, you indicate that you will abide by its terms.

Also, this page is for requesting AWB Access for this wiki (English Wikipedia) only. Other projects have their own check pages and you should ask administrators there to add you.

Please add your name to the bottom of the list using *{{AWBUser|your username}} ~~~~~. Enter your user name exactly as it is, do not add underscores instead of spaces or change the case of the first letter.

If the list contains undecided entries that are over 48 hours old, please add {{Admin backlog}} to the top of this page.

Note that users with under 500 mainspace non-automated edits are rarely approved. You only need to give a reason for wanting AWB access if you have fewer than 500 mainspace non-automated edits. Administrators are automatically approved and do not need to list themselves.

If approved, your name will be added to the CheckPage. If you will make many or fast automated edits using AWB, you may wish to use a separate (or bot) account for the purpose.

  • Most of those are from recent changes patrolling. But I also fix grammar errors and awkward sentences manually whenever I see them. AWB would make that task a lot easier. Widr (talk) 10:33, 2 November 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Already done confirmed by KingpinBot (talk · contribs) (this user currently has the awb flag. Admins: remember to use a {{done}} template or alternative so the bot knows what the intended result is) - KingpinBot (talk) 13:00, 16 November 2012 (UTC)[reply]
  • Lugia2453 (talkcontribsnon-automated contribswikicheckercounttotallogspage movesblock logemail) While most of my edits are reverts, I also patrol recently created pages and look for ones that could use some fixes, whether they're grammatical fixes or capitalization fixes. Generally, I'll fix even the tiniest of errors. This isn't the best way of looking for pages that could use some fixes, though; I think AWB would help with finding more pages that could use fixes. In addition, looking for errors is tedious, so AWB would also help me with that. 04:36, 12 November 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Not done Although you have been a registered user since 2009 I see a major gap between 2009 and 2012. Although you have begun to make more edits in the last month it would be better to continue as is and re-request later. CambridgeBayWeather (talk) 22:49, 28 November 2012 (UTC)[reply]
Already done as we are authorised by default. Dougweller (talk) 15:39, 19 November 2012 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks, I noted this above for others' clarity. FT2 (Talk | email) 15:49, 19 November 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Not done This is the only edit in 2012 out of a total of eight mainspace edits. You request also indicate a lack of knowledge of what the tool is used for. CambridgeBayWeather (talk) 22:49, 28 November 2012 (UTC)[reply]
