pronounciation?

Does anybody know for sure how she pronounces her last name? Perhaps a recording of her saying it? The olympics announcers seem to be all over the place.Brainmouse (talk) 02:55, 12 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]

In the UK (& Ireland) there is only one way to pronounce it, which is "cog-lin", where the "g" is hard & borders on a "k". Sorry, I know not how to do this in Wiki phonetics Sitush (talk) 05:01, 12 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]

tautology

I have removed a lot of tautologous edits from this article but there are still plenty there, with some facts being stated two and three times and also a general bird's nest of an approach to categorising. Can we not agree on what goes where please? Are there any good articles about Olympians/swimmers/sports people upon which we could base the structure? Then what does "qualify" mean?

"Although she qualified for only one event, Coughlin signed up for the 100 freestyle and 100 backstroke."

She swam both events at the trials and made it in only one.
