Sorry, but I don't think you understand copyright as it applies here. The page that the text came from is marked 'copyright'. The text was supplied by Mr Guttierez. That means that it IS copyright. He supplied it to the site for publication. The publication makes it copyright automatically. Wikipedia, on the other hand, is licensed for reuse by anyone, anywhere. Mr G's text isn't licensed, so it cannot be used here. The license is under CC-BY-SA, Creative Commons. Apart from this (about which more can be read at WP:COPYVIO), there was a problem about notability. I could see no sign that Mr G passed our notability requirements WP:BIO. Being a candidate does not give notability - see WP:POLITICIAN. At election times, we have to delete loads of articles about candidates (unless they pass WP:BIO on other things). Sometimes, in a week or two they are back when they've been elected. That's life. We are not a platform for people trying to get votes.
