Controversies

The Russian pop duo t.A.T.u. is to perform in part of the opening day festivities. The pair are widely known for their fake lesbian antics as part of their stage shows from their heyday. Those antics are now illegal under current Russian law.[20] The duo have previous marched in support of gay pride.[21] Their name in Russian is slang for girl-on-girl love.[22]
