The Gear 2 is the successor to the Galaxy Gear which was based on Android.[3] It was announced on 23 February 2014, a day before the Mobile World Congress. The Gear 2 will feature a mid-range counterpart model Gear 2 Neo.[4][5] Unlike the regular Gear 2, the Neo version lacks a camera. [6]
