Fair use rationale for File:ApikorosSleuth-bookcover.jpg

Thanks for uploading or contributing to File:ApikorosSleuth-bookcover.jpg. I notice the file page specifies that the file is being used under fair use but there is not a suitable explanation or rationale as to why each specific use in Wikipedia constitutes fair use. Please go to the file's description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale.

If you have uploaded other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on those pages too. You can find a list of 'file' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "File" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free media lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Sfan00 IMG (talk) 20:46, 1 May 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for the heads-up! I was a novice Wikipedian when I uploaded this file, and was not aware of this requirement. I've gone ahead and added fair-use rationale for the article Robert Majzels, and removed the notice. Cheers. --Ori.livneh (talk) 22:48, 1 May 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Peirce png file

Can you change that new Charles Sanders Peirce png file, which you produced and inserted, to a jpg? The jpg that was there was, in its 200px form, around 18KB. The new png in its 200px form is around 64KB. The Tetrast (talk) 20:53, 12 May 2010 (UTC).[reply]

Thanks for doing that. By the way, why did you replace the earlier jpg, was it too lightened or something? The Tetrast (talk) 20:05, 13 May 2010 (UTC).[reply]

Ludlow Massacre talk page

No hard feelings. My comment was a little more vitriolic than i intended. Thanks, best wishes, Richard Myers (talk) 05:05, 19 May 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Translation wanted

Dear Ori-livneh, I would like you to have a look at the article about the Alois Kottmann Award as we are looking for a Hebrew translation of it. The article actually is also available in German (original), French, Japanese, and Swedish. You'll find these links on the left. If you need any further informations don't hesitate to contact me. Many thanks in advance. ArcCan (talk) 15:38, 31 October 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Sorry for taking a while to respond. I haven't written Hebrew prose in many years, so I'm not sure I'd be very well-suited for this. I'm much better at translating in the other direction. If there are particular phrases or words you'd like some help with, feel free to ask, and I'll try my best to assist. --Ori.livneh (talk) 04:41, 10 January 2011 (UTC)[reply]

URL change following save

Your E3 Experiments extension seems to be affecting the URL after page saves, by appending the pe=1 parameter to the /w/index.php?title=PAGENAME (instead of using the canonical /wiki/PAGENAME URL). Please see Wikipedia:Village pump (technical)#URL change following save where the unexpected behaviour has been raised by Redrose64. — Richardguk (talk) 17:25, 27 July 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Signpost hullabaloo

Hey man, just dropping a somewhat conspicuous note to say that I liked the way you handled the Signpost thing. I was gonna send Wikilove, but it ended up being too late for me to come up with a witty barnstar. :P Keep in touch. --MahmoudHashemi (talk) 11:34, 7 September 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks! Yes, keep in touch! --ori (talk) 21:18, 22 October 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Dear mr. Livneh,

It's easy to name them all, but what do they have in common apart from being quite famous and therefore present @Wikpediae in many languages?

John Ashbery, Giorgio de Chirico. Noam Chomsky, Norman Finkelstein, Emma Goldman, David Hume, Franz Kafka, Peter Kropotkin, Friedrich Nietzsche1, Jean-Jacques Rousseau2

By the way, the pre-surgery photo is out of copyright in Japan per {{PD-Japan}}, but add another tag with {{Not-PD-US-URAA}}. I recommend that you upload that "bishonen" half in both English and Japanese Wikipedias. If you try Commons, be careful; the hosting site is U.S., and they are unsure what to do with non-U.S. works. --George Ho (talk) 03:43, 21 December 2012 (UTC)[reply]
My apologies; I thought you are an uploader of this non-free photo. I asked you because I thought you were. --George Ho (talk) 04:25, 21 December 2012 (UTC)[reply]
No problem. --Ori.livneh (talk) 23:04, 21 December 2012 (UTC)[reply]

The article Michael Hulse has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Unsourced BLP, I have found no useful sources after an extensive search

While all contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. -- Patchy1 REF THIS BLP 12:34, 5 February 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Hi Ori,

If you have the time and inclination, your input would be welcome at wikt:Wiktionary:Grease pit/2013/November#Module:languages, where we are discussing reorganizing our language metadata. (Qgil named you and Anomie as good people to ask "about modules and performance".)

Thanks in advance!

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited Tomer Sisley, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Jiu jitsu (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

I'm finding all API calls - maybe all HTTP requests - to be extremely slow, as if it's timing out on some cache. The configuration is more similar to production so that might make sense if it's waiting for some cache server that never replies. If you've seen this before, can you give me any hints? Thanks in advance. NeilK (talk) 23:23, 22 July 2014 (UTC)[reply]
