José Antonio Meade Kuribreña is a Mexican economist, lawyer and diplomat and current Mexican Secretary of Foreign Affairs.
Biography
Meade Kuribreña is of Irish[1][archive verification needed] and Lebanese[2] descent. Meade served as Secretary of Energy (7 January to 9 September 2011),[3] then as Secretary of Finance in the cabinet of President Felipe Calderon (9 September 2011 to 30 November 2012).[4]
Since 1 December 2012 Meade is the current Mexican Secretary of Foreign Affairs in the cabinet of Enrique Peña Nieto. Meade Kuribreña holds a Licenciate#Mexico in economics from Instituto Tecnológico Autónomo de México and a Licenciate in law from National Autonomous University of Mexico as well as a PhD in economics from Yale.
