Deletion review for 24-Hour Vevo Record

An editor has asked for a deletion review of 24-Hour Vevo Record. Because you closed the deletion discussion for this page, speedily deleted it, or otherwise were interested in the page, you might want to participate in the deletion review. Prhdbt [talk] 18:34, 24 October 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Remove the AFD tag again and you will be blocked. --NeilN talk to me 20:15, 24 October 2015 (UTC)[reply]

I have reverted your non-admin close of this AfD, which was highly improper for two reasons:

  • WP:NAC lists as appropriate NAC closures: "Clear keep outcomes after a full listing period (stated in the instructions to each XfD, this is usually seven days), absent any contentious debate among participants." (my emphasis). This had run for only three days, and there were delete !votes.
  • You had already expressed an opinion in the debate, and were therefore disqualified from closing it - see WP:BADNAC. Even an admin should not close a debate in which they have !voted.

If you think new information has come to light which alters things, the proper course is to explain it in a comment in the debate, and let other participants decide whether to change their !votes, and an independent closing admin decide what weight to give them. However sure you are of what the outcome should be, you do not get to decide it off your own bat.JohnCD (talk) 20:21, 24 October 2015 (UTC)[reply]

25 (Adele album) has been nominated for Did You Know

{unblock|What? I'm absolutely not a sock puppet. I created the Vevo Record page and I didn't know the rules that someone who was involved in the debate was allowed to keep or remove the page. A lot of other users were backing me on keeping it, and now I'm apparently part of a sock puppet conspiracy? It's untrue.}}
