Welcome

Welcome!

Hello, 131.95.1.238, and welcome to Wikipedia! Thank you for your contributions. I hope you like the place and decide to stay. Unfortunately, your edit to Hells Angels does not conform to Wikipedia's Neutral Point of View policy (NPOV). Wikipedia articles should refer only to facts and interpretations that have been stated in print or on reputable websites or other forms of media.

There's a page about the NPOV policy that has tips on how to effectively write about disparate points of view without compromising the NPOV status of the article as a whole. If you are stuck, and looking for help, please come to the New contributors' help page, where experienced Wikipedians can answer any queries you have! Or, you can just type {{helpme}} on your user page, and someone will show up shortly to answer your questions. Here are a few other good links for newcomers:

I hope you enjoy editing here and being a Wikipedian! Please sign your name on talk pages using four tildes (~~~~); this will automatically produce your name and the date. If you have any questions, check out Wikipedia:Where to ask a question or ask me on my talk page. Again, welcome!  tedder (talk) 06:02, 9 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Please do not add or change content without citing verifiable and reliable sources, as you did to Hells Angels. Before making any potentially controversial edits, it is recommended that you discuss them first on the article's talk page. Please review the guidelines at Wikipedia:Citing sources and take this opportunity to add references to the article. Thank you. tedder (talk) 13:58, 9 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Welcome to Wikipedia. The recent edit that you made to the page List of Dexter episodes has been reverted, as it appears to be unconstructive. Please use the sandbox for testing any edits; if you believe the edit was constructive, please ensure that you provide an informative edit summary. You may also wish to read the introduction to editing for further information. Thank you. L Kensington (talkcontribs) 01:58, 20 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Please refrain from making unconstructive edits to Wikipedia, as you did with this edit to the page Lox. Such edits constitute vandalism and are reverted. Please do not continue to make unconstructive edits to pages; use the sandbox for testing. Thank you. L Kensington (talkcontribs) 02:03, 20 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Information icon Hello and welcome to Wikipedia. When you add content to talk pages and Wikipedia pages that have open discussion (but never when editing articles), such as at Talk:Charles VIII of France, please be sure to sign your posts. There are two ways to do this. Either:

  1. Add four tildes ( ~~~~ ) at the end of your comment; or
  2. With the cursor positioned at the end of your comment, click on the signature button ( or ) located above the edit window.

This will automatically insert a signature with your username or IP address and the time you posted the comment. This information is necessary to allow other editors to easily see who wrote what and when.

Help me!

Please help me with... I'm sure for regular editors of Wikipedia this all seems straightforward, but for the rest of us (or, maybe, just for the rest of me), this is tortuous. I have a suggestion; please move it to wherever it should go: Is there a way that an addition to the talk page of an article could automatically be forwarded to the originator of the page, along with, possibly, one or two other editors? It has been my experience that comments to the talk page don't seem to result in changes to the article. It doesn't help that the comments exist solely on the talk page, because many people don't realize that they need to read the talk page to find out what has been left out of (or is simply wrong in) the article itself. Let me give you an example: On the Henry VII of England talk page, there is a discussion about Roland. None of that is found on the actual page, and (I'm guessing) many people have no idea Henry may have had (actually, almost definitely did have) a son before his marriage to Elizabeth. Maybe you could just add a note at the beginning of each article that says, "For more information about this article, please read the accompanying talk page." 131.95.1.238 (talk) 18:42, 4 November 2016 (UTC)Dana Gower[reply]
