Citizenship

The current designation of "British American" as his citizenship is not only incorrect, it makes no sense. There is no such nation as "Britain America", and no such citizenship as "British American". It should be something like "British & American (dual)" or "Dual UK & USA" etc. 2605:6000:F343:F300:9816:38D0:BF7C:4D25 (talk) 18:32, 30 March 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Hello, I believe that this article should contain some amount of simple information on Garfield’s religious views/beliefs. Garfield has spoken about this aspect of his life on numerous occasions, mainly because of his role in Martin Scorsese’s film ‘Silence’.

In 2016, speaking with The Hollywood Reporter, Garfield stated: “I'm not a Christian person. I consider myself pantheist, agnostic, occasionally atheist, and a little bit Jewish, but mostly confused.” [1]

In an early 2017 interview with Stephen Colbert, Garfield described himself as “Kind of an Agnostic Pantheist.” [2]

Yet also in another 2017 interview (this time with America Magazine) Garfield expressed, when speaking about his experiences with the Spiritual Exercises of St. Ignatius Loyola and his work in ‘Silence’: “What was really easy was falling in love with this person, was falling in love with Jesus Christ. That was the most surprising thing.” and then “God! That was the most remarkable thing—falling in love, and how easy it was to fall in love with Jesus.”[3]

Thank you for your time and I hope you’ll consider adding this information to Garfield’s page.
