Speedy deletion contested: SYPartners

Hello Reddogsix. I am just letting you know that I contested the speedy deletion of SYPartners, a page you tagged for speedy deletion, because of the following concern: Passes A7. See talk page for a discussion of sources. Thank you. Eastmain (talkcontribs) 20:01, 16 June 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Reinstating Luke Kelly-Clyne

Hi reddogsix. Sorry for misunderstanding, but why exactly did you post a notice to my page stating it was acceptable to remove the "speedy deletion tag", and then re-post the tag to the page? I'm sorry if I'm confused, but that doesn't seem to make any sense. It's copyerighted material is removed (G12) and it doesn't have merit for advertising or promotion other than the work of the individual (G11). The figure itself is notable -- he's overseeing several major network productions which are featured on Wikipedia Hot Date , Big Breakfast, I Want My Phone Back, so again I feel I dont understand. Any information you can provide would be appreciated. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Pescobosa (talkcontribs)

@Pescobosa - I suggest you carefully re-read the tag I placed on your talk page and look at the reinstated CSD tag on the article. Your above comment does not make sense. Also, how does a G12 or G11 tag equal a CSD G4 - I have no idea why you mention the G11 and G12 tags. reddogsix (talk) 17:25, 17 June 2018 (UTC)[reply]
@reddogsix - Please see my contested message on the page itself regarding the CSD G4 -- while the title of the article remains the same the contents and references, which were altered to links. remain different in text, and substantiated by citations. Apologies for removing the incorrect tags.

Speedy deletion declined: Mad Ghost Productions

Hello Reddogsix. I am just letting you know that I declined the speedy deletion of Mad Ghost Productions, a page you tagged for speedy deletion, because of the following concern: Having been founded by a notable person indicates importance/significance (WP:CCSI#CORP, WP:CCSI#ORG). Thank you. SoWhy 07:45, 18 June 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Isaac Baker

Is it possible if we can get more people to help add content to the article rather than delete it? Isaac Baker is one of the key members of League of the South. SmokerOfCinnamon (talk) 13:20, 26 June 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Susan Crockford

Please delete this article. I typoed her name as this instead of Susan J. Crockford when I moved it from my sandbox. I didn't realize I had saved this old article, and did a reupload with the correct name. Thank you.Psayasith (talk) 23:14, 26 June 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Political biased

Dear reddogsix I feel like you are deliberately targeting me due to my political beliefs as clearly demonstrated on my page. The reason for this is because I have seen a lot worse wiki pages that have nothing on it and has not even been touched or speedy deleted. What ever you come up with for a excuse I am sure it is not true Colored (talk) 03:52, 5 July 2018 (UTC)[reply]

@Colored - Really? What proof do you have of this? Apparently, an Admin agreed with my assessment that the article did not meet the criteria for inclusion. If you took the time to review my edit history, all 66,000+, you would see the only bias I have relates to if an article meets inclusion criteria. I would suggest you read WP:AGF and ask yourself the question, does accusing another editor of bias, without providing any sliver of proof, really meet the criteria for a WP:CIVIL comment and how close to WP:UNCIVIL you are getting. </sigh> reddogsix (talk) 04:21, 5 July 2018 (UTC)[reply]
I am sorry for my unprecedented bigotry against you my araritic behavior must stop And I completely understand we’re you are coming from. I had no right to do what I did please take this sensor apology and I promise on my faith that I will never respond like this again Colored (talk) 02:03, 6 July 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Pema Browne

Can you please let me finish the page before you you flag it for deletion. I just started 20 minutes ago. You erased all of the categories I placed on the bottom of the page! Not helpful at all. Thank you — Preceding unsigned comment added by Jungleboy65 (talkcontribs) 09:36, 10 July 2018 (UTC)[reply]

@Jungleboy65 - Not sure what you are talking about, I added them back in immediately after the initial removal. reddogsix (talk) 20:06, 10 July 2018 (UTC)[reply]
PLEASE STOP SITING WHAT I AM WORKING ON AT PRESENT FOR DELETION. YOU SEEM TO BE VERY UNHELPFUL AND IMPATIENT. YOU ARE NOT MAKING CONSTRUCTIVE CONTRIBUTION TO THE SITE AT ALL! — Preceding unsigned comment added by Jungleboy65 (talkcontribs) 19:38, 10 July 2018 (UTC)[reply]
@Jungleboy65 - Is yelling really necessary? The article does not meet the standards for inclusion. I suggest you read the links in the welcome message I just left you before you go any further. You will have at least 7 days to add references and bring the article up to standards before it is deleted. reddogsix (talk) 20:06, 10 July 2018 (UTC)[reply]
Please stop stalking me. I am in the process of creating this page and you keep wanting to delete it. Could you please set your attentions to something while I try to finish. Pema Browne just passed away at 90 and I'm trying to get all of the sources in place on Wikipedia!
@Jungleboy65 - No one is stalking you. I am sorry Ms. Brown has passed away; however, please note Wikipedia is not a obituary service and the article needs to meet the criteria for inclusion. Once more, I suggest you read the links in the welcome message I just left you before you go any further. reddogsix (talk) 20:11, 10 July 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Speedy deletion declined: Josh Pfeiffer

Hello Reddogsix, and thanks for patrolling new pages! I am just letting you know that I declined the speedy deletion of Josh Pfeiffer, a page you tagged for speedy deletion, because of the following concern: The claim about the iTunes UK Chart is a claim of significance, so speedy deletion criterion A7 is not valid. You may wish to try WP:PROD or WP:AfD instead. You may wish to review the Criteria for Speedy Deletion before tagging further pages. Thank you. Speedy deletion declined: Lavi Beats

Hello Reddogsix. I am just letting you know that I declined the speedy deletion of Lavi Beats, a page you tagged for speedy deletion, because of the following concern: producing notable musical recordings is a claim of significance. Thank you. SoWhy 08:01, 20 July 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Curious why you PROD'ed Robert Hyman and CSD'ed Charlie Serrano as they seem essentially equivalent. I'd think the A7 tag was the right one in both cases. Best, Barkeep49 (talk) 03:45, 21 July 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Hello. When I see a new creation that seems suspicious (in this case an article about a Nigerian "prophet", all such new articles seem to be recreations by banned or blocked users...) I always check the deletion log for the page (found under "Page", "Page logs", "Deletion log" in the WP-interface I use, whatever that interface is called) to see if it has been deleted before, and why. That's how I found the SPI case Cyril Ogwu belongs to. Cheers, - Tom | Thomas.W talk 19:31, 21 July 2018 (UTC)[reply]

@Thomas.W - Nicely done, thanks. reddogsix (talk) 19:36, 21 July 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Speedy deletion of Who Are You, Leon Burger?

Thanks for noticing this and nominating the article for deletion. I did not in fact create the content but found it on the bio of Tuvia Friling, the author of the book, and spun it off into a new page because it impeded the structure of the bio. In fact, I was concerned that it was plagiarized and checked the article for copyvio via Earwig's detector, but I must have done something wrong because that did not find copyvio. Catrìona (talk) 01:42, 22 July 2018 (UTC)[reply]

@Catrìona - it looks like the copyvio I found was a copy of the original article. Additionally, it was only sections, not the entire article. Thanks... reddogsix (talk) 01:52, 22 July 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Tee Ali Arabmoney

Dear User:Reddogsix, you just tagged the article for deletion. Kindly remove your deletion tag. This page should not be deleted as the subject has enough notability to mention on Wikipedia. His work of music albums and videography justify his notability. You shouldn't ignore his awards like Nigeria Entertainment Awards.Entradakoi (talk) 12:30, 22 July 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Speedy deletion of Morris A. Young

Hello, I saw your notice requesting Speedy Deletion of Morris A. Young and I have made changes to the article to remove any potentially promotional language. I also wrote an explanation on the subject's talk page. Could you take a look? I have no relation to the subject and I don't believe it deserves to be Speedily Deleted. Speedy deletion declined: The Gaming Terroriser

Hello Reddogsix. I am just letting you know that I declined the speedy deletion of The Gaming Terroriser, a page you tagged for speedy deletion, because of the following concern: Subject might be important/significant (see also Google News/Books hits for this subject) / use WP:PROD or WP:AFD instead to allow other editors to participate in this decision. Thank you. SoWhy 11:13, 25 July 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Speedy deletion contested: John Rathinam

Hello Reddogsix. I am just letting you know that I contested the speedy deletion of John Rathinam, a page you tagged for speedy deletion, because of the following concern: Not a redirect at all. Thank you. Eastmain (talkcontribs) 21:27, 29 July 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Hi. The article was a mess when it was created by a newbie. The new editor actually created two articles with the same name. I renamed the other article with an alternative name of the subject, and redirected it to the article you nominated for speedy deletion. I am writing the article, as there are several reliable sources that mention the subject. Cheers, Ktrimi991 (talk) 21:35, 29 July 2018 (UTC)[reply]

I restored the above biographical article, since it should not be a Redirect to their company. Sincerely, BeenAroundAWhile (talk) 23:26, 29 July 2018 (UTC)[reply]

NPR Newsletter No.12 30 July 2018

Chart of the New Pages Patrol backlog for the past 6 months. (Purge)

Hello Reddogsix, thank you for your work reviewing New Pages!

June backlog drive

Overall the June backlog drive was a success, reducing the last 3,000 or so to below 500. However, as expected, 90% of the patrolling was done by less than 10% of reviewers.
Since the drive closed, the backlog has begun to rise sharply again and is back up to nearly 1,400 already. Please help reduce this total and keep it from raising further by reviewing some articles each day.

New technology, new rules
  • New features are shortly going to be added to the Special:NewPagesFeed which include a list of drafts for review, OTRS flags for COPYVIO, and more granular filter preferences. More details can be found at this page.
  • Probationary permissions: Now that PERM has been configured to allow expiry dates to all minor user rights, new NPR flag holders may sometimes be limited in the first instance to 6 months during which their work will be assessed for both quality and quantity of their reviews. This will allow admins to accord the right in borderline cases rather than make a flat out rejection.
  • Current reviewers who have had the flag for longer than 6 months but have not used the permissions since they were granted will have the flag removed, but may still request to have it granted again in the future, subject to the same probationary period, if they wish to become an active reviewer.
Editathons
  • Editathons will continue through August. Please be gentle with new pages that obviously come from good faith participants, especially articles from developing economies and ones about female subjects. Consider using the 'move to draft' tool rather than bluntly tagging articles that may have potential but which cannot yet reside in mainspace.
The Signpost
  • The next issue of the monthly magazine will be out soon. The newspaper is an excellent way to stay up to date with news and new developments between our newsletters. If you have special messages to be published, or if you would like to submit an article (one about NPR perhaps?), don't hesitate to contact the editorial team here.

Go here to remove your name if you wish to opt-out of future mailings. Insertcleverphrasehere (or here) 00:00, 30 July 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Hello Reddogsix. I am just letting you know that I declined the speedy deletion of George Goehl, a page you tagged for speedy deletion, because of the following concern: executive director of a notable organization indicates significance. Thank you. SoWhy 07:50, 6 August 2018 (UTC)[reply]

You are being awfully nice to this confused user, considering the article has now been speedy deleted twice. BTW: He (Daniel Thompson (sp?)) initialized the article from the DJ Pied Piper and the Masters of Ceremonies article, as seen by the fact they haven't removed the 'Members' from the infobox. Sigh. Speedy deletion declined: American Capital, Ltd.

Is Reddogsix a bot or real person? Seems from this Talk page that its just a troll or bot making pages for deletion as soon as they are put up rather than waiting for a page to develop. I created American Capital, Ltd. page about a billion dollar corporation. It is filled with pure facts. Why are you marking it for deletion. It has not even been 24 hours since I added the information. Why not wait a week to see what develops!? Ksaraf (talk) 14:11, 13 August 2018 (UTC)[reply]

@Ksaraf - </sigh> No, I am not a bot or a troll. Rather than asking such silly questions, you might want to note the article was moved to a draft status in order to provide time for rework. Apparently, I was not the only person that felt it lacked support. reddogsix (talk) 02:16, 14 August 2018 (UTC)[reply]
