He invented the idea and partial theoretical basis for the single beam trap configuration know as optical tweezers in 78, it just took till 86 before he built them. Should it say that he invented them in 78 and produced an apparatus in 86? --Andorphin 08:33, 17 April 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Question: Why is his affiliation listed as "Lucent Technologies". This company was a split of Bell Labs, but the company didn't exist until about 5 years after he retired from Bell?
