Editors desiring to contest the closing decision should consider a move review after discussing it on the closer's talk page. No further edits should be made to this discussion.

The result of the move request was: Moved. There is consensus that the present title is unsuitable. If a better title emerges later, the article can be moved again. (non-admin closure) Cwmhiraeth (talk) 09:39, 10 September 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Untitled All Elite Wrestling showAEW on TNT – This is the name that the show is being referred to as. It is the name that they have been advertising for weeks (and during All Out). Their official social media pages are "AEW on TNT" (or with "AEW" spelled out). Sources also refer to it as "AEW on TNT". This may not be the "final" official name, but it is the current and makes more sense to have this name over the current name that no one is going to enter into a search bar. A few sources: Official Twitter page, Official Instagram page. Bleacher Report, article for their November show in Chicago from their official website JDC808 20:37, 1 September 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Support - The current title is ridiculous. Go with the WP:COMMONNAME, even if it needs changing later Best Wishes, Lee Vilenski (talkcontribs) 08:22, 2 September 2019 (UTC)[reply]
Support It's best not to look to far into things to make them more complicated than they are. It's AEW and it's on TNT and sources use this name. It may get a different name later on, unfortunately by that time we may still be debating this RM, but for now this is fine.LM2000 (talk) 04:14, 3 September 2019 (UTC)[reply]
  • Support. The show is being advertised as AEW on TNT, both in on-air promos and via their website. Heck, it's apparently even printed on the tickets. This show is not untitled. Why this simple technical request move was undone is beyond me. oknazevad (talk) 10:11, 3 September 2019 (UTC)[reply]
  • Oppose Nothing says the show is officially named, and nothing has been provided stating its even the WP:COMMONNAME (also BR is not a RS so I have not review it). The twitter page [1] and Instagram [2] both say AEW on TNT. No where does it state that its the shows name. It follows it up by stating "A NEW LEAGUE coming Wednesdays to TNT", so they are saying AEW is a new league that is coming to TNT or that AEW will be on TNT, not that its called that, just that it is short hand.
The current title is the standard for untitled projects on Wikipedia. Look at Untitled Judd Apatow/Pete Davidson film, Untitled Lila Neugebauer project, Untitled Bush + Renz project, Untitled Imtiaz Ali film, Untitled Martin Scorsese project, and Untitled Schulman/Joost project as examples.
A review of the term "AEW on TNT" will show that they are using to merely as a vehicle to refer to the show, not calling it that. For example, here are the first 5 RS that come up when googling "AEW on TNT" (in quotes): [3] [4] [5] [6] [7]. All of them use "AEW on TNT" as a short form of All Elite Wrestling's show that will air on TNT. None of them talk like that is the name of the show.
If you look at this answer from Tony Kahn [8], he flat out says AEW is not the name of the show. AEW on TNT already redirects here, there is no reason to move the page to a title that is 100% not the name of the show, to then move to whatever the name of the show will be a few days later. - Galatz גאליץשיחה Talk 15:51, 3 September 2019 (UTC)[reply]
No one has said it was officially named, only that "AEW on TNT" is the name that it is being referred to as, which it has for several week. RS or not, it's still one of however many sources that refer to it as "AEW on TNT" (and B/R is where they've aired their PPVs, so there's that). It's a much more common name than "Untitled All Elite Wrestling show", which no one but Wikipedia refers to it as. To use your language, it makes no sense to keep it titled something that is %100 not the name of the show (and will never be). "AEW on TNT" is much closer to a name than the ridiculous title that you're arguing for, and is a shorthand name that may still be thrown around even after the official name is revealed. Those examples of "standard practice" you provided are just as ridiculous, but a difference here is that those don't have a shorthand name that they're being referred to as. Just because others do it doesn't mean it has to be done here. --JDC808 18:30, 3 September 2019 (UTC)[reply]
This all will be moot within the next couple weeks when the official name is released. The show is being referred to as AEW on TNT to short-hand writting "The All Elite Wrestling show that will air on TNT". By putting it in italics, you are saying it is the official name. I have provided 5 WP:RS that only refer the AEW as having a show on TNT, never using it like its the show name. So without anyone calling it "AEW on TNT" what is your rationale for proposing the move? Clearly there is no WP:COMMONNAME if they aren't calling the show that. Therefore WP:OSE so we use the same consistent title. - Galatz גאליץשיחה Talk 18:59, 3 September 2019 (UTC)[reply]
Okay, you're ignoring the sources I've provided, and no, putting it in italics does not say it's the official name, especially when it explicitly states "currently referred to as". Referred to as does not mean it's the official name. --JDC808 19:05, 3 September 2019 (UTC)[reply]
I didn't ignore them, I went through them already above. What on WP:ITALICS states that any way of referring to a show other than by an official name should be in italics? If we were to refer to Raw it goes in italics, but if you say "WWE show on USA Network" it wouldnt be - Galatz גאליץשיחה Talk 19:09, 3 September 2019 (UTC)[reply]
Just want to add that their "The Road to" YouTube series for the TV show is called The Road to AEW on TNT. --JDC808 05:59, 6 September 2019 (UTC)[reply]
