HemaCare

Hi Jimfbleak, sorry for stepping on toes with my Hemacare page. It wasn't intended to be promotional and I'm not affiliated with the company, or indeed any other company these days. I'm retired and thought I'd spend some of my free time updating articles on the things I know about, mainly Biotechnology and genetics. I looked at a lot of other small biotech company pages before I created that one and I don't see what the difference is? I took care to use only third-party references, no press releases etc. I also think this company is pretty interesting (if you're in Biotech), They have been around for 40 years doing nothing but taking donor blood and selling it. All of a sudden through blind chance they find themselves one of the only companies able to supply starting materials to the emergent cell therapy industry. I thought that was worth an article. Can I get my draft text back so I can take another shot at it, read a few more Wikipedia guidelines and try not to fall foul of G11? Once again sorry for stepping on toes, I'm new here, I'm probably older than most contributors, not as au fait with Wikipedia etiquette and I have big feet. Hi Jimfbleak! The article i published was deleted under G11 rule though I have provided correct information of the person and it is not promotional. Why was that happened? Thank you! --Chakrisahithi (talk) 05:16, 5 December 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Hi, what happened to clickz?

I was scrolling, and it looked like the article was deleted, is there a reason why? New3400 (talk) 12:14, 5 December 2019 (UTC)[reply]

New3400, it was deleted by admin Nihiltres at 01:29, August 29, 2007 as CSD G11 blatant Blatant advertising, bot labelled CSD G12: Blatant copyright infringement. If you want to query the deletion, you'll need to contact that admin, but I've had a look and it's a spamlink to their site plus unsourced promo, eg our coverage is expert, exclusive, and in-depth.. I would have speedy deleted too Jimfbleak - talk to me? 13:58, 5 December 2019 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks, how do I see the deleted article? New3400 (talk) 21:47, 5 December 2019 (UTC)[reply]
New3400, We often restore deleted text on request, but for legal reasons we don't do so for copyright violations like this, which was copied from their website. In any case, there was little factual content in the article. Two sentences of unsourced promo, part of which I've quoted above, a mission statement and the name of the then editor-in-chief. No independent verifiable sources no evidence that it meets our notability guidelines, in fact nothing about the company at all except promo, nothing about number of employees, turnover or profits, just promotion and copyright violation Jimfbleak - talk to me? 06:22, 6 December 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Article deleted ka.gisler

14:25, 5 December 2019 (UTC)Hi Jimfbleak! The article I published today about the World Sustainability Award was deleted under G11 rule though I have provided correct information about the Award and it should not be promotional Why was that happened? Thank you!14:25, 5 December 2019 (UTC) — Preceding unsigned comment added by Ka.gisler (talkcontribs)

Ka.gisler, please sign your messages. Also please read the messages on your talk page. The references are not independent third-party sources, they have direct connections to the award. There is nothing to demonstrate notability as linked on your talk page; we don't know how it's administered or awarded, what the award is or how the whole thing is funded. Your text just describes the award and lists its recipients and seems to have no purpose other than to promote the award, a view reinforced by the in-text spamlink to an affiliated site Jimfbleak - talk to me? 14:42, 5 December 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Page Deletion

Hi, I have written the article, Rodney G. Vaughan. and now the atricle is removed by you. There is no conflict of interest here. Dr. Vaughan is a very known person in the firld of wireless communication. you can find the complete details about him on the google scholar too. https://scholar.google.ca/citations?user=nMbkRB4AAAAJ&hl=en The paper told by Yamla, is written 1 year after this wikipedia article is published. There is no conflict of interest — Preceding unsigned comment added by Saadmahboob (talkcontribs) 00:59, 7 December 2019 (UTC) *Please restore the article*. Thanks. Saad — Preceding unsigned comment added by Saadmahboob (talkcontribs) 22:11, 6 December 2019 (UTC)[reply]

There's a clear conflict of interest here. You were both coauthors on "Fiber-Fed Distributed Antenna System in an FPGA Software Defined Radio for 5G demonstration". --Yamla (talk) 22:34, 6 December 2019 (UTC)[reply]
@Saadmahboob: Whether or not the COI existed at the time you wrote the article, the tone of the article was unacceptably promotional. The article was (correctly, IMO) speedy deleted. Any further work on the article by you—including arguing for its restoration—are on a topic where you now have a conflict of interest. —C.Fred (talk) 01:03, 7 December 2019 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks Yamla, C.Fred. Saadmahboob, please read the guidance I posted on your talk page. Apart from COI and promotional tone, parts of your article were at least a close paraphrase of his CV> Also, we require independent third-party sources, but three of your refs were CVs from associated institutions, sure to have been written by him, and Google Scholar just lists his own publications, which again aren't independent sources. If you look Wikipedia:Notability (academics), it is an absolute requirement that you have independent verifiable independent verifiable sources. You can't show notability by quoting self-written CVs or his own papers. I see no good reason to restore, and concur with the other editors who have responded here Jimfbleak - talk to me? 06:52, 7 December 2019 (UTC)[reply]

AAA

Hi, not sure what's going on with user INCraze, and maybe you've already seen this, but it looks like right after you deleted Draft:AAA Entertainment as G11 and gave them a COI warning, they recreated AAA Entertainment in main article space... thought you should know. --IamNotU (talk) 17:08, 9 December 2019 (UTC)[reply]

IamNotU, thanks. AAA was deleted by another admin, and I've now blocked INCraze as an undeclared paid editor Not Here Jimfbleak - talk to me? 19:20, 9 December 2019 (UTC)[reply]
I think they did actually declare on the deleted page that they're paid by Publish Media entertainment news (not AAA). Still "not here" I guess, or if they are, they can ask for an unblock... thanks. --IamNotU (talk) 19:38, 9 December 2019 (UTC)[reply]

For your kind attention

I have received notification that you have recommended the page titled as Bahahuddin Nadwi for speedy deletion citing the lack of reliable reference. I want to invite your kind attention to the fact that Dr Nadwi is one of the renowned Islamic academicians in Tafseer (Quran interpretation) and has acclaimed the reputation as the resource person in Islamic Jurisprudence after authoring good books in the area. I kindly request you to restore the page, so that i can supplement it with enough references. Ashrafnlkn (talk) 06:47, 11 December 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Replied on user talk page, unreffed promo Jimfbleak - talk to me? 07:13, 11 December 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Hi Jim - thanks for reviewing the article I posted about Rashmi Becker. This is not an autobiographical piece. Rashmi Becker is listed in the latest edition of Who's Who, which is the UK's main publication for recording notable individuals (has been in print for 172 years). RB featured on the BBC yesterday etc. Please wait before deleting, and I will add more references and more weight to the skeleton note I drafted (I expected that others would flesh it out). Thanks. Sven Ghenghys (talk) 16:34, 11 December 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Ghenghys, I've seen this message, but I'm going to be out all day today, so it may be Friday before I can take a proper look. I'll just say for now that if User:Ghenghys creates a page Draft:Ghenghys, it certainly gives the appearance of an autobiography. You need to provide multiple independent verifiable sources to enable us to verify the facts and show that he meets the notability guidelines. It is now Wikipedia policy that biographical articles about living people must have independent verifiable references, as defined in the link, or they will be deleted. Sources that are not acceptable include those linked to the subject or a related organisation, press releases, YouTube, IMDB, social media and other sites that can be self-edited, blogs, websites of unknown or non-reliable provenance, and sites that are just reporting what he claims or interviewing him. References should be in-line so we can tell what fact each is supporting, and should not be bare urls. Also you should write in proper sentences and read Help:Your first article Jimfbleak - talk to me? 06:26, 12 December 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Ghenghys (talk) 09:21, 12 December 2019 (UTC) Thanks for clearing that up, Jim. It's my first page creation and I hadn't appreciated the need for multiple sources. I'll post a revised version later today but look at it when you can. All best. Sven Ghenghys (talk) 12:54, 13 December 2019 (UTC) Hi Jim. The updated page has now been submitted as Draft:Rashmi Becker. It's now written in plain english and fully referenced. All best wishes. Sven[reply]

Ghenghys, please see this edit summary and my comments in history. Jimfbleak - talk to me? 13:21, 13 December 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Peace Dove

Peace is a state of balance and understanding in yourself and between others, where respect is gained by the acceptance of differences, tolerance persists, conflicts are resolved through dialog, peoples rights are respected and their voices are heard, and everyone is at their highest point of serenity without social tension. Hi Jim. I was watching user talk:Mattximus because the two topics above your "Ninian ParkApororhynchus scheduled for TFA" were from me. This edit cracked me up. Thanks for lightening my day. Gog the Mild (talk) 15:15, 13 December 2019 (UTC)[reply]

pls Help Me jim

hiee, pls help me to save the article from deleteing, this artile is about Agnel Roman. he is a one of the well-known music Directors in india. you can check other wikipedia articles like Ragini MMS, Panithuli, Maazii, Mickey Virus, Jigariyaa that mention his name so that he has notability. and The Times of India is the reliable source. you can see the article in the same. what else is needed ?? you can chk all the links on article page.

Hi! Why did you delete Draft:Ilara - Ogudo Yewa as a test page? It was unreferenced, and there isn't much information about it online, so perhaps it's unlikely to be kept at AFD, but I don't see how it meets G2, or any of the other speedy deletion criteria. cc User:DGG. —Emufarmers(T/C) 23:50, 13 December 2019 (UTC)[reply]

I marked it as a test page because it did not seem like it was intended to be a complete article, but I think I was judging too quickly, and presumably jim did likewise. . I'd be be perfectly willing to see it restored. I see the contributor was blocked by RHaworth, and I think , RH, that you may have made the same mistake we did. I think all three of us have between us inadvertently been unfair to a potential good faith contributor, and I for one greatly regret it.
The root cause of this is the pressure of low quality promotional new articles, together with the inadequate number of people reviewing them. It leads to mental fatigue , and sometimes to physical fatigue also. Since we are not able to cut down on the efforts of people who actually do want to use W as a web host or for advertising, the only possible solution is for more people to take their share of checking articles. Recalling all the edit histories where dozens of people are busy making purely trivial fixes , or dealing with the repeated changes made necessary by some of our auxiliary functions , we need to try to convince some of the wikignomes to take a broader view. DGG ( talk ) 02:54, 14 December 2019 (UTC)[reply]
Emufarmers, DGG, I think part of the problem is that this user kept posting the same text repeatedly, ignoring deletion edit summaries and editing guidance. If you wish to restore the text, that's fine with me, but you should note that this editor was indefinitely blocked by ST47, so can't edit anyway Jimfbleak - talk to me? 06:19, 14 December 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Restoring the Page

Hi Jim,

I am going to restore the page on Dr. Bahahuddin Nadwi, which you nominated for speedy deletion, with more authentic and reliable references. Some of the links are of Malayalam newspapers, which you may find difficult to know and i am ready to translate it. I am looking forward to your corporation in improving article Ashrafnlkn (talk) 13:27, 14 December 2019 (UTC)[reply]
