In the intro, change "Hanks' films have grossed more than $4.6 billion at U.S. and Canadian box offices and more than $9.2 billion worldwide,[2] making him the fourth highest-grossing actor in North America." to "... making him the sixth highest-grossing actor..." as per https://www.boxofficemojo.com/people/?view=Actor&sort=sumgross&p=.htm.

Same goes for the second paragraph of the 'Legacy' section. Janker86 (talk) 21:10, 26 June 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Education

The infobox as it stands strongly implies that Hanks has a degree in fine arts; the article states that he dropped out before completing his degree.

My thought is that the two colleges currently listed in the "alma mater" parameter should be moved to "education", and the reference to the degree removed (which should be added to the body); this should make it look less like he completed the degree.

The doc for {{Infobox person}} suggests that when there's no actual degree granted, it's "usually not relevant to include either parameter", but also suggests "article talk page consensus may conclude otherwise", so here I am. Should they stay or should they go?--NapoliRoma (talk) 21:03, 23 July 2019 (UTC)[reply]

I've gone ahead and made these edits. I removed the reference to his major being fine arts, as there's no source for that.--NapoliRoma (talk) 20:32, 6 August 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Suggest you add a reference to the movie Volunteers, released 1985. I thought it was a very good movie and captured many things that really did happen in the early 1960s. I have been to Thailand many times. I was born in 1957. I thought the comedy and jokes and references were spot on 96.75.181.34 (talk) 00:14, 21 January 2020 (UTC)[reply]
