The Hyundai Rotem CJ151 is a medium-capacity Electric multiple unit of the Singapore Mass Rapid Transit, to be constructed by Hyundai Rotem, with a quantity of 62 train sets in three-car formation.[1] This is the first time Hyundai Rotem was awarded a contract to supply trains for Singapore.
The train model will be delivered in 2024 and commence service on the Jurong Region Line when it opens in 2026.[2]
Tender
The tender for trains under the contract J151 was closed on 13 June 2019 with four bids. The LTA has shortlisted all of them and the results, excluding price, has been released.

Design & features
The exterior design, according to the mock up created by LTA and Hyundai Rotem, features a sleek modern design similar to those of Bombardier Movia C951/C951A and Bombardier Movia CR151 trains. It features bright white LED headlights with a triangular design, along with the teal colour, representing Jurong Region Line, running the entire length of the train body.
