New page reviewer

User:DylanI00

Hi, I am requesting the new page reviewer permission to help grow Wikipedia, particularly around my interests of Australian basketball and more widely sports. A recent example of the work I have done with new pages in the past is with the Will Weaver (basketball) article where I started helping transform the page from a stub into a more informed and accurate article to help develop the writer and show how new pages should start to develop. I have also created other pages including Cairns Basketball Stadium, Fabijan Krslovic and Mike Kelly (basketball). DylanI00 (talk) 05:01, 1 August 2020 (UTC)[reply]
DylanI00, thank you for your interest in this permission, and I appreciate the amount of effort that you have put into writing articles about the NBL. However, from reviewing several of your article creations, I see too many examples of articles that have few-to-no citations to independent sources, which suggests a lack of familiarity with the notability guidelines that are at the core of new page patrol work, so I'm going to have to mark this as  Not done. Additionally, if your interest is primarily in helping new editors learn to develop articles, Articles for creation may be more up your alley (although I would suggest fixing up the sourcing issues in your recent article creations before applying there, as the concerns about notability apply to AfC as well), or on a less formal basis you can help out at the Teahouse. signed, Rosguill talk 04:13, 6 August 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Since almost 4 years I am with Wikipedia by writing more than 1 thousands new articles and substantively upgrading the good amount of existing pages, I acquired a good understanding of policies as well as guidelines of New page reviewer. I roam New pages feed and I've already done a lot of work on categorised articles, cleanup etc. Hence I'm praying for the right. I've gone through Wikipedia:New pages patrol Pinakpani (talk) 16:17, 1 August 2020 (UTC)[reply]
Pinakpani, thank you for your interest in this permission and for your extensive work writing articles about Indian cinema and railways. However, I'm concerned that several of the articles that you have created rely overmuch on citations to databases and do not clearly meet WP:GNG. Similarly, some of the articles that you've started about upcoming films are overly reliant on WP:ROUTINE pre-release coverage that does not demonstrate notability. This, combined with a lack of a strong track record at AfD leads me to mark this as  Not done. I think that you could benefit from enrolling in the WP:NPPSCHOOL, or alternatively you should consider reapplying in a few months if you can build up a better record at AfD that clearly demonstrates your understanding of relevant policies and guidelines. signed, Rosguill talk 04:39, 6 August 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Hi, I'm an active user for 4 months. I've made 4000+ edits, have created 30+ mainspace article excluding redirects, disambigs, cats and templates. Copyvio resulted to be downgraded the rights. But now, I'm more cautious and wouldn't make mistake. Empire AS Talk! 08:23, 7 August 2020 (UTC)[reply]
Automated comment This user has had 1 request for new page reviewer declined in the past 90 days ([1]) and has had this permission revoked in the past 180 days ([2]). MusikBot talk 08:30, 7 August 2020 (UTC)[reply]
Not done less than a month ago you had this user right and another (autopatrolled) revoked for introducing OR into articles and edit warring to reinstate it; in the light of that, before being granted this user right you'll need a track record of trouble-free editing Salvio 08:43, 7 August 2020 (UTC)[reply]
@Salvio giuliano:, but since that rights revoked, I've become more cautious and have made no copyvio since then. Thank you. Empire AS Talk! 10:12, 7 August 2020 (UTC)[reply]
Less than a month is simply not enough. Salvio 10:13, 7 August 2020 (UTC)[reply]
Salvio giuliano, It may be enough because 28 days have passed.Empire AS Talk! 10:16, 7 August 2020 (UTC)[reply]
Look, even if it was a little over a month it would still be too soon. You'll need at least 3 or 4 months of trouble-free editing. Salvio 10:26, 7 August 2020 (UTC)[reply]
Salvio giuliano,🙄 It sounds too much for me. It's like a long-lasting wait, as I passed 28 days hardly. Empire AS Talk! 10:41, 7 August 2020 (UTC)[reply]
@Empire AS: Salvio is right. To be frank, your rush to regain this and other rights [3][4] sets of alarm bells and makes it less likely that you will get them. They don't actually affect your editing, so I suggest you focus on that. – Joe (talk) 10:56, 7 August 2020 (UTC)[reply]
@Joe Roe:, My purpose isn't hat collecting.❎ And I'm not here to request the rights for the purpose of hat collection.❌ I only wanted the rights to help and reduce backlog in the way that I can. As I don't have these rights, I can't fulfill my role. I'm not looking for sympathy as I know that rules are rules and must be followed. However, now it seems that I would have to wait more. Tears.
