Imminent suspension of administrative permissions due to inactivity
Established policy provides for removal of the administrative permissions of users who have not made any edits or logged actions in the preceding twelve months. Because you have been inactive, your administrative permissions will be removed if you do not return to activity within the next several days.

Inactive administrators are encouraged to rejoin the project in earnest rather than to make token edits to avoid loss of administrative permissions. Resources and support for reengaging with the project are available at Wikipedia:WikiProject Editor Retention/administrators. If you do not intend to rejoin the project in the foreseeable future, please consider voluntarily resigning your administrative permissions by making a request at the bureaucrats' noticeboard.

Thank you for your past contributions to the project. <!-- Template:Inactive admin -->— JJMC89 bot 00:02, 24 November 2020 (UTC)

Had enough nonsense for a while, so I've retired. I reserve the right to reappear at some point. Maybe. Rkitko (talk) 00:14, 3 October 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Sorry I didn't check the berry drama...I have been really busy and burnt out IRL so looking at more drama was sorta beyond me...Cas Liber (talk · contribs) 00:20, 3 October 2015 (UTC)[reply]
I really appreciate all the work you've done here over the years. Just one example: working on the WGSRPD distribution categorization, the kind of task which doesn't lead to the recognition of DYKs, GAs or FAs, but which is still very important. In the end, I think the berry drama had a good outcome for WP:PLANTS – we have a serious article at Berry (botany) which can be improved further, and we're spared the need to deal with the trivia that gets added to Berry. I hope you'll be back some time! Thanks again. Peter coxhead (talk) 08:18, 3 October 2015 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks, guys. I've also been busy IRL and decided something needed to be dropped, so it wasn't so much the berry drama but the attitude of some of the editors I encountered there that was the "yep, enough of this" deciding factor. I'm well over all that, but I still need the break. Perhaps when I return I'll keep my nose out of larger discussions and just focus on building articles. Cheers, Rkitko (talk) 11:59, 5 October 2015 (UTC)[reply]
Likewise, I hope you un-retire at some point when you feel up to it. I would echo Peter's comments above. And experienced editors like yourself can be a source of inspiration to less experienced ones like me. Declangi (talk) 23:28, 11 October 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Two-Factor Authentication now available for admins

Hello,

Please note that TOTP based two-factor authentication is now available for all administrators. In light of the recent compromised accounts, you are encouraged to add this additional layer of security to your account. It may be enabled on your preferences page in the "User profile" tab under the "Basic information" section. For basic instructions on how to enable two-factor authentication, please see the developing help page for additional information. Important: Be sure to record the two-factor authentication key and the single use keys. If you lose your two factor authentication and do not have the keys, it's possible that your account will not be recoverable. Furthermore, you are encouraged to utilize a unique password and two-factor authentication for the email account associated with your Wikimedia account. This measure will assist in safeguarding your account from malicious password resets. Comments, questions, and concerns may be directed to the thread on the administrators' noticeboard.
