List of shock sites

A shock site is a website which aims to offend as many people as possible, generally by showing offensive images. It is used often as a form of attack during message board invasions.

Major shock sites

Goatse.cx

Goatse.cx is one of the most well-known shock sites, and perhaps the most infamous. The image which appears on the site's index, hello.jpg, depicts a man stretching his anus with his hands and his penis and testicles are dangling.

While that specific site was taken down by the NIC .cx authority in January 2004, Goat.cx and Hick.org/goat/ became used instead of the original location. Goat.cx now only displays an image of a pumpkin carved to resemble hello.jpg, and the hick.org link now displays a 404 error. However, many other mirror sites containing the original goatse image still exist, such as http://goatse.ragingfist.net/.

LemonParty.org

Lemonparty.org contains a picture (lemonparty.jpg) of three elderly men lying on a bed naked, engaged in kissing and oral sex. The site was defunct for a number of years, then restored. The site once had a link that stated "click here to wash your eyeballs", which led to a picture of a kitten. In addition, the background has turned gray and there is another link below that leads to Bottleguy.

As of December 2005, the website is reported to have been sold after a short period of downtime. The new owner has left the original site intact, with a new link to a Lemon Party IRC based chat (irc://irc.infinitechat.com#lemonparty), which is a redirect to a different site (http://fyou.org); as well as the supposed phone number ("815-742-3776") of one of the participants in the picture.

Tubgirl.com

Tubgirl.com was a redirect to a picture (tubgirl.jpg) of a masked, naked woman lying in a bathtub, buttocks raised with her legs over her head, projecting a fountain of liquid feces from her anus, after apparently having been given an enema. The liquid (also rumored to be orange juice) splashes over her body and face. Her pubic region is censored with a mosaic. Before the launch of tubgirl.com, this image was featured in a rotten.com story "Fecal Japan" claiming that the subject matter is allegedly popular in Japan. Allegedly, her cell phone number is 301-471-3983. This has not yet been confirmed, though. The image displayed on tubgirl.com is marked as having been previously posted on consumptionjunction.com. The url address www.tubgirl.com now redirects to Consumption Junction, and displays the image tubgirl.gif with a "rate me" box, where viewers can rate the image from 1 to 10.

CherryCake.org

CherryCake.org shows a picture of the remains of a man who put a lit firecracker into his mouth. It is not yet known who he is.

On 16 February 2006, the front page was updated to show a picture of a fetus which appears to be suffering from a relatively mild case of Harlequin type ichthyosis, followed by the original picture of the man's face after 2 seconds.

Tubboy.net

Tubboy.net is an amateur attempt to reproduce Tubgirl, which is described above. The name is directly connected to the site itself, which was not the case with Tubgirl. The original thread that describes Tubboy can be found at http://www.genmay.com/showthread.php?t=340246.

Hai2U.com

Hai2u.com features an image of a woman vomiting while performing fellatio on a man sitting in a lawn chair, taken from a photo shoot by Max Hardcore. The actress uses the stage name Catalina and is featured in several of Hardcore's films. The site has the text "HAI2U!!!1 :)" in bold at the top of the page. The page is written in w3c validated XHTML 1.0 Transitional markup for officialness, and contains a link visible only in the Internet Explorer browser to make it your homepage. Started in May of 2005, the site now gets tens of thousands of visitors per month, and has spread entirely by word of mouth. It was at one point highly ranked on a Google image search for "blowjob".

Harlequin fetuses

The many sites that have pictures of the harlequin fetus syndrome are generally not intended to be shock sites. The pictures show affected babies with cracked, dry skin, no ears or nose, bloody eyes, and swollen feet and hands. Many internet trolls link to such pictures anyway to shock people.

Last Measure

Last Measure is a shock site that utilizes javascript to trap the user, all the while spawning pop-ups featuring many well-known shock pictures as well as NWS audio.

Rotten.com

Rotten.com is one of the oldest extreme footage sites of the net. Several accidents, suicides and a lot more gross stuff is collected here. A lot is often said to be faked using image manipulation.

Ogrish.com

Ogrish is a comprehensive site filled with images of gore, autopsies and amputations. Ogrish's infamy peaked when photos of World Trade Center "jumper" victims emerged on the site, along with photographs of other 9/11 victims, shortly after the terrorist attacks.

Fuck.org

Fuck.org features a large picture of a black man having sex with an inflatable purple penguin, with a mysteriously serene expression on his face. This page formerly consisted of single different images in the past such as circuses, bold texts, etc.

Supermodelsfart.com

Supermodelsfart.com features a large picture of a sweaty fat man having doggy-style sex with a noticeably unhappy looking young woman, who is leaning on a filthy sofa. The fat man is eating a can of creamed corn, with another can on the girl's back. The title of the page is "canned corn lol". The picture also contains a link to a flash application that plays music and flashes bright colors in an attempt to trigger an epileptic seizure, similar to Last Measure/Browser Bomb.

Gummi Series

The Gummi Series depicts a man putting objects into his urethra, the most famous being the kids_in_sandbox.mpg video. The gummi man's identity is unknown.

The photos of the gummi man were found on the alt.sex.pictures usenet newsgroup around 1995/1996. They were placed on fnord.org in a "hidden" directory, and the location was disclosed to friends but never publically published. Over the last decade, over 120,000 unique hits to the videos have been made. How the knowledge of the directory was propagated isn't exactly known. It is assumed that it was spread entirely by word of mouth, IRC and chat systems until bloggers and Internet forums became prominent.

The kids_in_sandbox video comes from an unknown adult movie. It was given to the owner of fnord.org around 2002 and added to the collection of gummi man photos. Since then, it too propagated like mad, peaking in about 12,000 downloads a month in 2004.

All of the images and videos were temporarily removed due to bandwidth constraints but were made available again in September of 2005.

Mongface.com

Mongface.com (which has a banner title of "Jessica Alba Naked" to perhaps lure unsuspecting victims) shows an animation of a woman inserting a telephone into her anus. The song "Hanging on the Telephone" by Blondie plays in the background. Some believe it is a man because of the well groomed nails, however it is clearly a woman due to lack of a penis or testicles. The title above says "Mongface.com, where all your dreams come true".

Pain Series

The Pain Series is a collection of seven JPEGs, each containing a number of shock images pasted together. It was created by Huge_Midget of the Something Awful forums, whose users commonly use it as a prank, or when someone leeches (directly shows an image without linking to the site, or asking the webmaster's permission, thus robbing the linked site of bandwidth) pictures from their websites. Each of the pain series pictures contains some combination of other shock site photos arranged in a collage. According to a WHOIS search, the site that the Pain Series was originally located at (http://www.crazyninjas.org/kittens) is due for deletion, presumably due to violating the host's agreement terms. However, the ubiquitous status of the pictures on the Something Awful forums means that there are probably many alternate locations that host the Pain Series.

L33tHaxor (l33thaxor.tk) Is a picture of a man doing scat pornography.
moid.org/ed (moid.org/ed) is a collection of many shock images, including many mentioned on the page.
Stretch (stretch.ragingfist.net) is another picture of a man distending his rectum, seemingly almost to the point of prolapse. It is currently located at http://stretch.ragingfist.net/.
Bottleguy (www.bottleguy.com) Is a picture of a man with a large glass bottle in his anus.
hundige.dk (www.hundige.dk) is a Danish sexual shock site named after a suburb of Copenhagen composed mainly of elderly residents. The site contains pictures of old and physically ugly people in various perverse sexual acts. Contains repeated pop-ups.
Mr. Hands is a video of a man being anally penetrated by a horse. The man died of internal bleeding afterwards.
Stinger was a picture allegedly used on Goatse.cx in its early days, which showed a woman being anally penetrated by a goat.
Drekkend (drekkend.web-log.nl)is a popular Dutch weblog that shows pictures and videos that are usually of a shocking, bizarre or strangely funny nature. The material varies strongly, from accidents or incidents mainly caused by people who take unintelligent actions to decapitations and ultra-bloody shockmixes. It was established in 2004.
Ratemypoo.com is another "rateme" parody that features submitted pictures of fecal matter. It is hosted by rotten.com.
Seizure Measure/Browser Bomb/GOD LOVES YOU AND RAINS HIS HOLY LIGHT UPON YOU is based on Last Measure, but contains a flash application that plays music and flashes bright colors in an attempt to trigger an epileptic seizure. The page abuses JavaScript to cause hundreds of non-moving popups of the flash to invade the screen, hence the name Browser Bomb.
Wormeye (fiend.macker.co.uk) is a series of pictures of an eye surgery in which a larva is being removed from the eye.
Lime Rave (www.freewebs.com/lime_rave) is a picture of a man's oversized penis. The image does not show obvious signs of being Photoshopped. A programming script also shakes the browser window upon entering the site, perhaps in an attempt to scare unsuspecting users. The site was down for a short time but is now back up. The site is currently Frozen for violating the webhost's terms of service.
phreak.org/ana/skinny.html contains many pictures of two naked obese women skinny-dipping. At the bottom of the page there is the text "I'm glad I don't have an .mov of this."
The Lou images on The Best Page in the Universe are shock images that the owner (nicknamed Maddox) uses to joke around with his friends and to shock his enemies. One of the lou images is the image found on lemonparty. Links can be found on the main page for the site.
Screamers are mild shock sites that are designed to make the viewer "jump", often by including flash-frames in what purport to be innocuous video films.
www.faggotry.com displays an old (or digitally altered to create the impression of) greyscale picture of five men engaged in the act of fornication. One of the men is lying on his back, being fellated by another, who is in turn being penetrated by another, who is in turn being penetrated by another, who is in turn being penetrated by the fifth. The keywords used to help categorize the page with search engines contains various non-related terms such as: "white power, gilligan's island, radio free berkeley and iambic pentameter" among others. Related to faggotry.com was www.faggotry.org, an image of multiple men performing fellatio on each other.
jiztini.com is a single image of a woman drinking a large glass of semen. This picture is a screen shot from a video.
When one is brought to Albino Black Sheep - You are An Idiot page, a Macromedia Flash movie called youare.swf is seen, which chants "You are an idiot, hahahahahahahahahahaha" over and over again, and flashes black and white smiley faces. When the user closes the browser window, the page abuses JavaScript so that a flurry of moving popups with the flash are made. Attempting to close these windows, which is difficult because they are flying around on the screen, results in even more popups, sometimes causing the computer to crash or stop responding. A browser with a popup blocker prevents this.

Original site

The penisbird (smoke.rotten.com/bird/) image is a picture of a large parrot perched on a man's erect penis. The page contains a note from a Slashdot reader asking that the image be relocated (if not removed) because Slashdot trolls are using hyperlinks to send unsuspecting users there. The page also mentions a crude ASCII art version of the penisbird, which appears from time to time on Slashdot.
cadaver.org/head-th.jpg is a picture of somebody with their head split in two.
beecock is a picture of ( an uncircumcised penis with several bees on it, some of them appearing to be considering crawling under the foreskin. It gained popularity among admins at the SomethingAwful forums, in the "anything goes" forum, Fyad, where "beecocking" a thread refers to the practice of an admin using a script to replace all images in the thread with beecock.jpg. The image can be seen at http://students.washington.edu/geombear/forums/!beecock.jpg.
Bold Leadership 4 A Better World (www.geocities.com/bold_leadership_4_a_better_world) is a website that appears to be a tribute to George Bush but that, after eight seconds, turns into a fugue of images from goatse, bottle guy, and raging fist.
Meatspin.com is a site containing a man and a man engaging in anal sex. The transsexual is sitting on top of the man, and while the sex act is occurring, the penis of the transsexual is rotating in a circle. It plays the song, "You spin me right round", which is uncomfortably appropriate. The website also counts how many "spins" a person sits through, and after 46 "spins", words appear declaring you "officially gay." The flash movie can be seen at http://www.meatspin.com. The domain name has been sold on eBay for $2,100 [1], and the site is still up and running.
Biggernigger.com is an extremely graphic image of a large woman holding open her legs. Her legs, face and vagina are smeared with feces, and slimy, diarrhea like feces is on the sheet in front of her, whilst also dribbling out of her anus. She has a dildo or vibrator in her mouth. Below there is a text that says "Hi Mom" in between two "smilies"
Bagslap.com is an animation of a man masturbating set to oldies music. Other links on the page lead to animated pictures of other pornographic imagery set to other songs.
Exet.nu is a Swedish site, formerly known as expressen.nu. The site is full of pictures of amputations, accidents, pictures from the 2004 Indian Ocean tsunami, pictures from New Orleans after being hit by Hurricane Katrina, alleged snuff movies and other material generally considered offensive. There are also numerous Flash games on the site.

Former shock sites

Workse, a clone of the popular Goatse.cx page, featuring a televised Japanese comedian (Rakkyo Ide) being anally penetrated by what the site claims is a kangaroo, but according to the on-screen graphic is a dog of Tosa breed. The website appears to have been shut down by the Christmas Islands authorities.

Desertofthereal.com contains a picture of a man eating feces from another man's anus. At the top it says "zomg, zizek~!" and at the bottom contains the text "DISCLAIMER: This picture does not depict anyone's genitals, and is therefore not pornographic in nature. I don't care if you're under 18. Go cry me a river." The color of the background was formerly white.

Highballer.com (no longer available) contains a picture (highballer.jpg) of a man standing on top of a concrete platform with his trousers down, projecting a fountain of liquid feces. This site is currently offline.

ShrewsburyCollege.co.uk was a site containing a photograph of a two men, one being anally penetrated by the other with some sort of implement. In addition to that, both were covered in faeces. The name of the site was taken from the Shrewsbury College of Arts & Technology, which used to be known by the acronym SCAT. The website has been replaced by the actual Shrewsbury College website.

Ljabuse.com and denisepaolucci.com were based upon GNAA's Last Measure shock site engine. They feature classic Last Measure images with crudely photoshopped faces of Denise Paolucci, a LiveJournal employee that heads up the Abuse team. Those sites are now defunct.

fist.tk featured a montage of various anal fisting and scat fetish pictures. Origins are unknown. The site existed in this form until around May 2003, when the content was taken down and a .tk placeholder put in its place. In early 2004 the placeholder was removed and different non-shock content added.

As of December 2005 the domain fist.tk now redirects to a 403 forbidden page on the site http://hem.bredband.net, but prior to this contained various non-shock images and text ranging from a blank white page, to a photoshopped image of a cat pulling the fingers, to variations of the word 'lalala'.

The original contents (and subsequent revisions) of fist.tk can still be viewed on archive.org.

Regentxxylol.org consisted of a picture of a man licking feces off another man's penis while the other man was vomitting, and another picture underneath of a man eating feces from another man's anus. It has since been taken down.

Klerck.org was a website that had several images. The website's domain expired.

The former webmaster of the site, Klerck, was found dead in the bathroom of his boyfriend's apartment on the morning of 8th March, 2005. He posted a suicide note on his LiveJournal, which was located here, but has been suspended. A mirror of the suicide note can be found here.

Ratemygoatse.cx was a rate me site of goatse related material in the style of the Hot or Not site. This site contains several grotesque images of people attempting different styles of "goatses". The original domain was deleted by the Christmas Island authorities.

Honkee.org was a site containing violently anti-semitic and homophobic posts, along with images, animated .gifs and short .avi movies on the same theme. The site went offline in 2004, apparently due to lack of funds.
