The film was released in theatres in Japan on 22 December 2023. The voice actor cast of the anime television series reprised their roles.

Plot

After successfully completing a mission, Loid heads to his usual rendezvous spot to receive new instructions. In the process of entering the secure facility, Loid helps Fiona retrieve her hat which was blown away by the wind. Yor happens to see this from afar and makes the erroneous assumption that Loid kissed Fiona. Yor's coworkers are talking about signs of cheating, they mention that there are three common signs to Yor. The signs are that a man frequently goes on business trips, he changes his outfits and that he buys presents for his current wife. Yor doesn't think too much of it and heads home. At the rendezvous spot, Loid is informed by his handler that he will likely be replaced on operation Strix and reassigned. He vehemently opposes the decision, but is told by the handler that the orders are from the top and that they cannot refuse. She leaves him with the point that he might be able to prevent this if operation Strix makes meaningful progress.

Loid learns that there is a cooking event at Eden Academy where the winner may get a Stella. The judge is the principal and Loid recalls that the Judge's favorite dish was Meremere, specifically a regional version of the dish found in Frigis. He decides to take the family to Frigis to try the dish and salvage operation Strix by recreating it. Yor is alarmed by his decision to take a vacation, remembering that she saw him "kiss" Fiona and that going on vacations is a sign of infidelity. Yor, Loid, Anya and Bond all board a train to Frigis. On the train, Anya gets bored and decides to play around. Reading Bond's precognitive mind, she realizes there is something valuable hidden on the train. She finds a suitcase and inadvertently eats the chocolate stored within. The owners of the suitcase discover this and try to apprehend her, however Yor intervenes thinking they were common thugs and protects Anya.

They arrive at Frigis and enter the restaurant "Rubbles & Bonds" where they have lunch. The chef explains the theme behind the restaurant and why he only allows families to dine at his establishment. Anya is served the Meremere, however military police barge into the restaurant. An arrogant Colonel named Snidel demands the chef serve him all his favorite dishes, including the Meremere. The chef informs the Colonel that the last dessert was already served to the Forgers, but the military Colonel states that he has the right to requisition whatever he needs. The Colonel challenges Loid to a ingredient guessing competition and says the winner gets the Meremere. While Loid does well, the Colonel is an exceptional food critic and manages to deduce the exact quantities of the major ingredients in each served dish. The Colonel takes the dessert and eats it to Anya's dismay. Afterwards the chef tells Loid that he doesn't have ingredients to make more. Yor recommends that they find the ingredients for the chef. Loid easily obtains most of the ingredients and has a good time with Anya. While in the town he buys lipstick for Yor, which she sees as another red flag. Scared of the prospect that Loid is cheating, she gets drunk and accuses him in public of being unfaithful. Loid manages to calm Yor down and later on a Ferris wheel explains that he wants to make their marriage work and that Fiona is just a stranger.

The forgers head back to their hotel. Loid remarks that there is one ingredient, cherry liquor, that he has been unable to obtain. He tries his best to find it to no avail. Anya, using her powers, figures out where she could get the cherry liquor and sneaks out to help Loid. The military Colonel is shown talking to his subordinates who explain a child ate the chocolate they were to deliver. It is revealed the chocolate contained an important microfilm that the Colonel planned on using to instigate another war against Westalis. He sends his underlings out to find Anya. In the town, Anya obtains the liquor but is captured. Loid and Yor notice Anya is gone and look frantically for her.

Loid finds Bond who bit off a military patch, he deduces that the military kidnapped Anya but is unsure why. Fiona arrives and tells Loid about the microfilm, she mentions it is the highest priority. Loid overhears on a military transmission that Anya ate the microfilm and determines she is on an airship. He gets on a plane to try and find the airship that the military Colonel is on, Yor sneakily tags along. Approaching the airship, he makes a crash landing after the ship fires guided anti aircraft missiles at him. He sneaks onto the ship and disguises himself as one of the captain's underlings, while Yor goes in guns blazing and accidentally starts a fire. The captain tells his underlings to wait for Anya to have a bowel movement, collect the microchip and then kill her. Anya overhears and tries her best not to go to the restroom. She manages to escape when Yor causes a commotion, however she is caught again by the Colonel's underlings. She is taken to the cockpit, where the Colonel has her restrained and says he will just gut her instead to get the chip. Loid enters the room disguised and realizes Anya is locked somewhere, he tries to quietly rescue her but the Colonel realizes who Loid is due to his exceptional sense of smell. After a firefight, loid manages to win and rescue Anya. Yor fights a mechanized soldier and after a very close fight wins by igniting him on fire using the lipstick Loid gave her as a present. The forgers steer the ship so it crashes into the river and Loid finds the microfilm stuck in Anya's teeth. They head home after a successful vacation. Loid presents the retrieved microfilm to his handler who is visibly pleased. Loid's handler also informs Loid that operation Strix will remain under his care. Anya enters the cooking contest, but due to an accident the contest is delayed. The judge also changes from the principal to the vice principal, which prompts the forgers to take another trip, this time to a warmer region.

The animation was made by Wit Studio, with Shunsuke Aoki doing key animation and Kyōji Asano working on storyboard and character design.[18][19][20][21][22] On 9 January 2024, Capcom revealed and released the in-game collab items, which are avatar costumes based on Yor's Thorn Princess dress and Loid Forger's signature dark cyan suit. Yor and Loid's hairstyles are also added to the avatar creation. Players who log in during the collaboration period, which lasted until 31 January, would receive free items like picture frames, stickers, and player titles. The Battle Hub area would also receive a temporary redesign to promote the movie.[23]
