Finally, a game other than Madden NFL...again
I was a big fan of the NFL 2K series. In fact, NFL 2K, along with Crazy Taxi, is the game that got me interested in Sega's ill-fated Dreamcast. So when it was announced that not only was EA gaining an excluse NFL license but also that 2K Sports would cease development of the NFL 2K series, I was angry. I've never been a huge fan of Madden simply because its gameplay is inferior. I gave up on football games in 2005.
Today, I looked over at my brother's screen and saw a football helmet with "2K" on it. I got him to go back to the blurb, and GameSpot's summary said it all: 2K Sports was brining back its football series. Kind of.
And believe me when I say that that made my day.—thegreentrilby 22:51, 2 February 2007 (UTC)
Blu-Ray?
This game isn't going to be pressed on a Blu-Ray disc, is it? To my knowledge, there has not been a game to be on the Blu-Ray format. To me, I don't think Blu-Ray should be under media. Plus, it hasn't been referred to as being on that format on any of the links. I will remove it just to be safe, but if there is a link to testament to that, please comment here. Thanks! - What exactly were you trying to say? That there have been no games released on Blu-ray? If so, you're wrong—MotorStorm and Resistance: Fall of Man being the first two titles that come to mind. If you meant third-party, you're still wrong. For example, Tony Hawk's Project 8 was published on Blu-ray. Not to flame or anything, but I'm not quite sure what you're saying.—thegreentrilby 02:49, 3 April 2007 (UTC)
- On the backs of their respective cases, as a matter of fact. The Blu-ray logo is featured on the rear cover (as pictured) and on the plastic banner on the front (not pictured).—thegreentrilby 03:35, 3 April 2007 (UTC)
Consoles?
I think it's pretty much assumed that APF2k8 will come out for PS3 and Xbox 360, but even that is speculation at this point. All that's been revealed, unless I missed something, is that it is for "next generation video game consoles", as seen in this official press release. For that reason, I think for the time being, we should change the consoles part of the table to TBA. I will make the change right now, but if someone can find some evidence of any confirmed consoles, please leave a message here on the talk page. Thanks! (Sorry for being so talkative). ------ GIGGAS2 06:33, 21 March 2007 (UTC)
- Well, GameSpot has the interview with Greg Thomas in their PS3 section, if that means anything...—thegreentrilby 02:49, 3 April 2007 (UTC)
Speculation
I just noticed that in the All-Pro Football 2K8 logo that there are two stars in the "K" of 2K8. I was wondering if it has any significance, or if it is just for aesthetic purposes. Either way I highly anticipate this game - Kevin82485 15:28, 30 March 2007 (UTC)
