==Wanted to start==

Hey. I agree with the idea that "{{tqi|wonder if intervention is necessary to address the editing community's failure to prevent these distortions}}" and wanted to craft something jointly with you on the matter.

Are you active on the [[WP: DISCORD]] server? Do you want to cooperate there? I honestly hate communicating through these talk pages. Could create an account now if need be.

Username

Hello, Hydrangeans,

It's going to take a while for me to get used to seeing this new username. Welcome to your new online identity! Liz Read! Talk! 07:45, 26 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for the warm greeting! It'll take some getting used to for me too. I've tried to get myself into the spirit of the username on my userpage. Hydrangeans (she/her) (talk | edits) 08:51, 26 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Stopping by...

to say hello and let you know that even though we don't always see eye-to-eye on things, I admire and respect your work here. Even though I have only two eyes you have at least 14 eyes! The new user name is great, and the lineage and image is a nice touch. See you around! Netherzone (talk) 22:04, 27 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for the kind words. Reading this has just about made my day in a way I hadn't known I kind of needed. The respect is mutual; from what paths we've crossed, I've appreciated your contributions and how you keep a cool head. See you around as well! DYK for Morianton's maidservant

On 28 March 2024, Did you know was updated with a fact from the article Morianton's maidservant, which you recently created, substantially expanded, or brought to good article status. The fact was ... that an unnamed abuse survivor risks her life to become a spy in "one of the bravest actions in all of the Book of Mormon"? The nomination discussion and review may be seen at Template:Did you know nominations/Morianton's maidservant. You are welcome to check how many pageviews the nominated article or articles got while on the front page (here's how, Morianton's maidservant), and the hook may be added to the statistics page after its run on the Main Page has completed. Finally, if you know of an interesting fact from another recently created article, then please feel free to suggest it on the Did you know talk page.

Mimikyu GAR

Thank you for your help with reviewing the Mimikyu GAR. It was a pleasure working with you and I really appreciated the timeliness of your responses. Best of luck in your other Wikipedia endeavors! Has one ever considered Magneton? Pokelego999 (talk) 05:20, 30 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]

March music

Thank you for your support for a MoS change, saying: "I do generally find having an infobox is better than not." It could be so simple. - Bach music for Easter! --Gerda Arendt (talk) 21:25, 31 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for the Bach music! Happy Easter to you as well. Perhaps someday the MoS will change. I'm sympathetic to the concerns of folks who worry that infoboxes tempt folks to add too much trivia, though I think eschewing an infobox entirely is an overcorrection. Even just having relevant dates is useful as a quick reference for the approximate time frame of a figure. Hydrangeans (she/her | talk | edits) 06:02, 1 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Disambiguation link notification for April 4

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. An automated process has detected that when you recently edited Oxford History of the United States, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page David M. Kennedy. Such links are usually incorrect, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of unrelated topics with similar titles. (Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.)

Have you considered taking this to WP:GAN? At a quick glance, it looks pretty good. -- asilvering (talk) 19:36, 14 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]

I've considered it but hesitated because I already have two Good Article nominations up (Liberty 5-3000 and The Glorious Cause: The American Revolution, 1763–1789). Since I haven't done many reviews, I don't want to overwhelm the process. Thanks for noticing the article and for your kind words about it; I do my best with my contributions. Hydrangeans (she/her | talk | edits) 21:32, 14 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Hi there, I'm pleased to inform you that I've begun reviewing the article The Glorious Cause: The American Revolution, 1763–1789 you nominated for GA-status according to the criteria. This process may take up to 7 days. Feel free to contact me with any questions or comments you might have during this period. A random thought

I feel like you would really enjoy the WP:DISCORD; I don't really have any reasoning for this beyond pure vibes. Generalissima (talk) (it/she) 03:45, 20 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]
