"Fly on the Wings of Love" performed by the Olsen Brothers represented Denmark in the Eurovision Song Contest 2000. It was selected on 19 February 2000 at the Dansk Melodi Grand Prix 2000, performed in Danish as "Smuk som et stjerneskud" (Beautiful as a shooting star). Olsen Brothers went on to win that year's Eurovision Song Contest in Stockholm, Denmark's second Eurovision win and first in thirty-seven years.
The final took place at the Cirkusbygningen in Copenhagen on 19 February 2000 and was hosted by Natasja Crone Back and Michael Carøe. The winner was selected over two rounds of voting. In the first round, the top five entries were selected by televoting to proceed to the second round. In the second round, the results of the public televote were revealed by Denmark's four regions, with the televoting figures of each region being converted to points. A fifth set of votes were the votes of an expert jury, which had a weighting equal to the votes of a single televoting region. This led to the victory of "Smuk som et stjerneskud" performed by Brødrene Olsen with 58 points.[1]
