Honey Rose Varghese (born 9 May 1991) is an Indian film actress who mainly appears in Malayalam films. She also appeared in a few Tamil, Kannada and Telugu films.[4][5][2] In her gradual successful career she paired up with the lead superstars of Malayalam film Industry. She starred in the notable films such as Kanal , Ittymaani: Made in China and Big Brother with Mohanlal , Daivathinte Swantham Cleetus with Mammooty , Sir C. P. with Jayaram , My God with Suresh Gopi and Ring Master with Dileep.
Early life
Honey Rose was born to Varkey and Rosily in Moolamattom, Thodupuzha in the state of Kerala, India.[6] She attended S.H.E.M High School, Moolamattom.[7] She holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Communicative English from St. Xavier's College for Women, Aluva.[8]
Film career
Starting her career in 2005, she acted in the Malayalam film Boyy Friennd directed by Vinayan.[9][10] She played the role of Manikuttan's girl friend.[11] In 2006, she accepted her first non-Malayalam project, Ee Varsham Sakshiga in Telugu, which was followed by her first Tamil film the romantic drama Mudhal Kanave.[12] Honey Rose acted in Muthyala Subbiah's 50th film Aalayam.[13]
Her breakthrough character is that of 'Dhwani Nambiar' in Trivandrum Lodge. Her character in Trivandrum Lodge, had given her a new innings in Mollywood.[14] She decided to change her screen name to Dhwani too after her character in Trivandrum Lodge,[15] but she reverted to Honey Rose in Anju Sundarikal.[16]
In 2011 she had completed one Tamil project, Mallukattu which she signed in 2009[17] and a Malayalam film, Pithavinum Puthranum Parishudhatmavinum, but the latter is on hold. She plays a nun called Sister Elsita in director Deepesh's Pithavinum Puthranum Parisudhalmavinum.[18] She also acted with Jayasurya in Hotel California and in Thank You as Jayasurya's wife, with Fahadh in the Anchu Sundharikal featurette called Aami and Daivathinte Swantham Cleetus with Mammootty in which she had a very challenging role as she plays a bold and strong Malayali woman.[16]
In 2015, she played Shirley, an aspiring singer and model, who falls in love with a married man in You Too Brutus.
