The 2020–21 SIU Edwardsville Cougars men's soccer team represents Southern Illinois University Edwardsville during the 2020–21 NCAA Division I men's soccer season, the school's 54rd season. The Cougars are led by second-year head coach Cale Wassermann. The team plays their home games on Bob Guelker Field at the Ralph Korte Stadium as an affiliate member of the Mid-American Conference (MAC).[1][2] Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the competitive season was moved from the fall of 2020 to the spring of 2021.

Preseason

Fourteen players returned from the 2019 team. Eleven of the returners started at least one game for the 2019 Cougars. The team is joined by five freshmen, a junior college graduate, a post-graduate student, and four student-athletes who transferred from other schools.[3]

Regular season

The date for the start of the season and the schedule have not yet been set.

Coaches

Cale Wassermann is in his second season as head coach of the Cougars. Daniel Brennan, an Edwardsville native is also in his second season as assistant coach. and assistant Matt Cannady is in his first season with the Cougars.[4]
