Aghlan (Template:Lang-fa, also Romanized as Āghlān)[3] is a village in, and the capital of, Melkari-ye Gharbi Rural District of Zab District, Mirabad County, West Azerbaijan province, Iran.[4]

At the 2006 National Census, its population was 519 in 93 households, when it was in Melkari Rural District of Vazineh District, Sardasht County.[5] The following census in 2011 counted 399 people in 95 households.[6] The latest census in 2016 showed a population of 307 people in 80 households.[2]

In 2022, the district was separated from the county in the establishment of Mirabad County, which was divided into two districts and two rural districts, with Mirabad as its capital and only city.[4]
