Walkervale is a suburb of Bundaberg in the Bundaberg Region, Queensland, Australia.[2] In the 2016 census, Walkervale had a population of 2,987 people.[1]

Geography

The North Coast railway line runs along the western boundary of the suburb; there is no railway station in the suburb.[3]

Education

Walkervale State School is a government primary (Early Childhood-6) school for boys and girls at 46a Hurst Street (24°53′06″S 152°21′35″E / 24.8851°S 152.3596°E / -24.8851; 152.3596 (Walkervale State School)).[4][5] In 2017, the school had an enrolment of 437 students with 37 teachers (32 full-time equivalent) and 24 non-teaching staff (15 full-time equivalent).[6] It includes a special education program.[4][7]

There are no secondary schools in Walkervale; the nearest secondary schools are in neighbouring Bundaberg South and Kepnock.[3]
