Abbott Spur is an ice-covered spur in Victoria Land, Antarctica, separating the lower ends of Rutgers Glacier and Allison Glacier on the west side of the Royal Society Range.[1]
Discovery and naming
The spur was named by the Advisory Committee on Antarctic Names (US-ACAN) in 1994 after Robin R. Abbott. Abbot was helicopter field operations coordinator at McMurdo Station, and was active in coordination and planning of science support in Antarctica from 1984.
