Ashley Mathews, better known as Riley Reid, is an American pornographic actress. She briefly worked as a stripper before entering the adult film industry in 2010, at the age of 19. She has since won numerous awards, including the 2016 AVN Award for Female Performer of the Year.

Career

Reid began her adult film career in 2011 at the age of 19 and initially used the stage name Paige Riley.[1][2] In 2013, LA Weekly ranked her eighth on their list of "10 Porn Stars Who Could Be the Next Jenna Jameson".[2] She was also placed on CNBC's list of "The Dirty Dozen: Porn's Most Popular Stars" in 2014,[3] 2015,[4] and 2016.[5] Reid won the XBIZ Awards for Best New Starlet in 2013 and Female Performer of the Year in 2014, making her the first performer to ever win both awards in consecutive years.[6] She also won every single XBIZ Award she was nominated for in 2014.[7][8] In 2014, Reid did her first interracial sex scene in Mandingo Massacre 6, for which she won an AVN Award.[9]

Reid is a Fleshlight Girl and has her own line of product with the company.[10][11]

Personal life

Reid was born Ashley Mathews[12] in Florida.[13] She has talked about being the victim of cyberbullying due to her lifestyle, and said in an interview with The Daily Star that "it makes dating really hard, it makes your family life really hard, it makes intimacy hard... you're putting yourself out there and the world is now judging you... you have to be OK with being shamed for every day of your life".[14] She also said that she is hesitant to have children out of fear that they will be bullied by their peers due to her work.[15]
