Usia is a village in Dildarnagar kamsar in the Indian state of Uttar Pradesh. Usia lies to the southeast of Ghazipur, close to Bihar state border. Its location is to the east of Dildarnagar on the Zamania-Buxar road. Nazeer actor was very famous and actor of Bollywood and Meraj Khan Who is living in Allahabad Who is Also going to appearance in Bollywood movies.Usia is the Second largest village in Gazipur district which have a total area of 21.09km².

Growth of population

Population of the village has increased by 21.4% in last 10 years. In 2001 census total population here were about 20 thousand. Female population growth rate of the village is 17% which is -8.6% lower than male population growth rate of 25.6%. General caste population has increased by 23.4%; Schedule caste population has increased by 11.3% and child population has decreased by -2.2% in the village since last census.

Demographics

The village is home to about 25 thousand people, among them about 13 thousand (53%) are male and about 12 thousand (47%) are female. 83% of the whole population are from general caste, 17% are from schedule caste and 0% are schedule tribes. Child (aged under 6 years) population of Usia village is 17%, among them 54% are boys and 46% are girls. There are 3471 households in the village and an average 7 persons live in every family.

The village was founded by Zamindar Jahangir khan and Zamindar Barbal khan who were son of Narhar khan(founder of kamsar Pathan).The village haveve a total population of 24786 amd the total number of houses in the village is 3471. Usia is located approximately 7km from Dildarnagar and 6km from S.k.b.m degree college. The village have seven english medium private schools and one government school. The village also have three madarsa, five mosques and two temples. The total area of the village is 5210 acres out of which the total population of the village lives in 180 acres of land and Mango farms and other tree farms occupy more than 300 acres of land in the village rest 4720 acres is the crop production area of the village. Allall kinds of crops which grow in Purvanchal and Western Bihar are grown here. The village have 80 tractors and 11 harvesters and 4 balers for harvesting activities. The village have one flower mill,one oil mill,one Dall mill,and two rice mill. The village also have three brick making campany. Business like brick making fertilizer and pesticides making Catelrearing poultry farming fishrearing are done in the village. The village also have ponds for taking water and the water level of village is 80 foot deep.Usia have 4 banks,15 A.T.Ms,one mega mart and so many shops.The Usia village also have many schools and many other facilities.

Literacy

Total about 15 thousand people in the village are literate, among them 9022 are male and 6218 are female. Literacy rate (children under 6 are excluded) of Usia is 74%. 83% of male and 63% of female population are literate here. Overall literacy rate in the village has increased by 13%. Male literacy has gone up by 8% and female literacy rate has gone up by 16%.
